So, a woman is raped, forced to give birth and then forced to take care of her rapist's baby? What if the woman is a 14-year-old girl? Are you going to make the 15-year-old's parents take care of the baby? Any other bright ideas?
Translation: I'd like to attempt to argue less than half of one percent of all abortions and avoid the 94% of abortions that are due to being an irresponsible person living an irresponsible life, in order to justify to myself why I really want to keep living my irresponsible life. By the way, even in the states that have trigger laws against abortion, rape and life threatening cases are covered in all of them. I've not looked at them all though, to be honest.
Maxine Waters tells people to “fight,” “the hell with the Supreme Court! We will defy them!" "You ain't seen nothin' yet." Didn’t they impeach Trump for this? video here https://twitter.com/greg_price11/status/1540387596215455745
Yes I'm sure you "know a lot of conservatives". So you can't actually provide evidence of your claim, as I figured. As an aside, yes, most conservatives believe you should pay your own way. It's all about that living a responsible life that is really unpalatable to the left.
June 24th. A day of insurrection that will live in infamy. Our Democracy is at stake here. We need a June 24th panel to put an end to the insurrection.
No but your post is. Too bad pefties have to push as far as they can when it comes to these issues. Since lefties advocate for partial birth abortion that 14 year old rape victim will have to travel to another state to get an abortion.
If you want to continue living don't fall into a coma. A fetus, like a comatose person, is unable to speak for themselves. Ask anyone if they had a choice between being aborted and living what would the majority choose?
If what you've written is factual then I'll be honest enough to admit that I did not know this about Roe not guaranteeing a woman freedom over her entire body. Are you sure? Abortion has been permitted virtually everywhere in the United States since the Roe decision, up to and including pulling the fetus out of the birth-canal and crushing its head at the last moment... no problem....
Of course. Believing you should be self sufficient is not mutually exclusive when it comes to providing for people who truly can't afford something. This is the difference between the right and the left: The left sees poor people as a continuing thing. The right sees poverty as transient towards self reliance.
Reasons... "The reasons most frequently cited were that having a child would interfere with a woman’s education, work or ability to care for dependents (74%); that she could not afford a baby now (73%); and that she did not want to be a single mother or was having relationship problems (48%). Nearly four in 10 women said they had completed their childbearing, and almost one-third were not ready to have a child. Fewer than 1% said their parents’ or partners’ desire for them to have an abortion was the most important reason. Younger women often reported that they were unprepared for the transition to motherhood, while older women regularly cited their responsibility to dependents." https://www.guttmacher.org/sites/default/files/pdfs/pubs/psrh/full/3711005.pdf
Watch for the "coat hangers in the back ally" claim now also... the left is not going to play nice on this... The DOJ Garland already opened his mouth and bucked the SCOTUS's decision... another government puppet in a suit.
Its very simple, if the woman doesn't want it inhabiting her body she has every right to have it removed even if this results in its death
There are some states that are pushing for late term abortion right up to the moment of birth. They want to ignore the viability matter altogether because it's believed a fetus has no rights of its own. Roe never argued that to be the case. The Court recognized that at some point a fetus would be viable outside the womb of the woman and at that point the states had an interest in protecting the fetus' "rights". Ultimately it was still left up to the individual state to decide the matter.
Banning Roe V Wade I think is out and out wrong. It should be discouraged but not banned. What reason is there for this? Many people and mostly young women are outraged about this and who can blame them? They have a point to protest this and it won't surprise me that they will keep at it and at it until things go their way. That's all I'll say for now.
