That is where I don’t understand some on the pro-birth movement (I refuse to call them pro-life until they fight for programs to benefit the child’s life once it is outside the womb) — if you believe it is a life and deserves to live no matter what, why does rape overrule that life?

Because the women didnt consent to the choice. As you said before, when does x overrule x. In my eyes, this is the situation when it does. Choice.

What about if her protection fails?

I agree with you, while I believe it is cruel to make a woman carry a child that she doesn’t wish to have under penalties set by the state (a forced incubator if you will) I believe it is morally reprehensible to mandate a woman that was raped do so. Unfortunately several states are looking like they will do just this.

I just don’t believe saying it’s a being deserving life unless the mother didn’t consent then we can kill it makes sense on the lens that it has innate rights.

Are you saying that an athlete who gets injured during training, or competition, shouldn't receive medical care because he was a willing participant in the action that lead to the circumstances?

We can also discuss car accidents, where the injured persons are, in most circumstances, willing participants in the action that lead to accidents...

Abstinence won't work. Should be replaced with #vasectomy.

Sports and car accidents do not lead to those outcomes nearest predictably as unprotected sex leads to pregnancy.

So your comparison does a big fat flop

So they don't like the religious right so they give up fornication? Hahaha! Yeah, that'll show 'em......I am sure religious folks will be upset at folks who give up sin.

No the SCOTUS has not said this. It is simply up to the states to decide. Why do pro-abortion folks have a problem with democracy?

No one is forcing anyone to remain pregnant. This meme is just silly.

I don't think so, but the frequency is irrelevant anyway. I'm talking about the principle.

Condoms are not the only means of birth control.

Sure, but they are the only means of birth control that comes without a list of possible side effects.

Not if someone is allergic to latex.

Maybe they should start a trend for anal sex? You can't get pregnant up there!

True, but there are non-latex alternatives. Not sure how good the alternatives are though.

But if condoms do fail sometimes it looks like getting pregnant is also a side effect.

    Contraceptives are not 100% safe.
