Let’s assume we have one kid with a 160 IQ and another kid with a 85 IQ.

Is that going to be fair? Of course not. Does that mean we give the test answers to the kid with an 85 IQ in order to make it fair?

No because what you’re ACTUALLY doing is screwing BOTH of them.

Or you make sure that the kid has a teacher aide to help them focus, or has a different place to take the test in because as anyone who n knows what fairness is, IQ is overrated nonsense. Most of the time it’s just about access to the right tools to help a student succeed.

A teacher aide? Is that kid going to get a teacher aide in college? Well he might now because thinking like yours has infected the upper levels of schooling as well.
but I can promise you this, he won’t have an aide when he gets a job. If he can get one because you’ve made him dependent upon some sort of aide.

But since you want to play little games let’s take a kid who is the smartest kid in the class and the kid who is the dumbest in class even after you give him all the aides you can think of.

    Then what?

Yes. I know someone who has dyscalculia and decided to be a math major. They needed a formula sheet but they were able to pass and go on to do all sorts of amazing things in their field.

You didnt really think that one out did you?

    Then they learn.

I can’t believe I have to say that.

No they won’t learn even REMOTELY as well as the smartest kid in the class. That’s the ENTIRE point. No matter what you do they will never perform at the same level. At some point that’s just got to be acknowledged and you can’t fix it.

You don’t really know much about education do you? And that’s coming from me. No one will ever learn unless they have their basic needs met. The smartest kid will not learn if they are hungry, scared, thirsty, have unresolved issues, etc. If a students immediate needs are not met, they will not learn as effectively as those who do have their basic needs met. Same applies to learning disabilities. If they have what they need, they can learn just fine.

No offense but I figured this out in third grade. This is not really a new idea for me. What’s your excuse?

It seems to me that any 'discrimination' against whites is rhetorical in nature.

I don't feel that I've been discriminated against in daily life, but with the CRT nonsense there does seem to be a rhetorical sort of discrimination, propaganda.

He set that clock back for some people - not all. The generations behind me (I'm 60) are, by and large, far more open minded with regards to color and sexuality. Trump didn't change their minds on any of that. So while he did rile up and radicalize some, they are not the future of the country.

The article is about the "empathy gap" which states that there is less sympathy for those of a different race than there was. It talks about feelings and nowhere states that there is more or less discrimination.

Actually if you read the whole article you might change your mind about its meaning:
"In our view as scholars of public opinion and identity politics, these grievances have been at the heart of conservative GOP politics and at their extreme have played a role in mass shootings such as the one in Buffalo in which 10 Black people were killed, allegedly by an 18-year-old white supremacist, or the violent assault that occurred on Jan. 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol."

That's funny. By third grade I figured out that some kids were smarter than others and there wasn't much you could do about it.

Yeah I thought that too and then realized as an adult that’s BS.

Jesus Christ. Are some kids smarter and more capable of producing good grades than other kids? Even IF you make allowances for the other kid?

    Stupid? Let’s see about that.

So what are your thoughts on affirmative action? How about the government policies which explicitly discriminate against you because you’re white?

Clearly American labor is overpriced. They need to work cheaper or starve or go without stuff. Like healthcare.

Welcome to Right Wing America: where god fearing righties hire illegals so they don’t have to pay minimum wage or workman’s comp and then complain about immigrants.

You know, for someone who doesn't believe in innate differences in intelligence you are quick to label people idiots and morons.

The idea that there are not innate differences in the capabilities and potential of children is patently absurd.

A child who is a terrible drawer and painter, even if you give him extra help, will NEVER be as good as a kid who is naturally talented in art. Same with music or athletics and yes academics.

There are some children who are academically gifted, some who are athletically gifted, some who are artistically or musically gifted and some who are mechanically gifted etc etc. Those children are going to perform better than their peers in those given subjects. That’s just fact and no amount of wishing and hoping otherwise will EVER change that fact.

When they start discriminating against your children and advocating violence against them based upon their skin color that you gave them. You will care then.

When they start refusing to allow you to work a job that will support your family and keep a roof over your head. Or reject your children from school because they’re privileged based upon the skin color you gave them. You will care then.

We do? Would you mind showing me the laws or government policies and programs that explicitly discriminate against minorities in place today?

Because I can point to several that explicitly discriminate against whites.

Well, you all hate white people who don't agree with you politically. You call them racists and fascists. When it comes time to choose sides, which side do you think most white people are going to pick?

Might want to think about that.

As meaningless an argument as the time it spent to write it out. None of those things matter if you don’t have the basic tools to prove it. You can’t prove an innate talent for music without an instrument. An innate talent for knowledge without a book. An innate talent for common sense without making a crappy argument like yours. And all of those things are based on socio economic condition. All you’re doing is describing access to wealth, not “innate talent”.
