Who the shooter is could go several different ways:

 

The gunman, who has not yet been identified, was described by Highland Park police as a white man between 18 and 20 years old

Yes shootings in Chicago are a brand new phenomenon, befor this ruling there simply was not a gun crime issue in Chicago.

 

Kind of reminds me of the blm shooting in Dallas.

Has anyone noticed how this shooting is getting a lot of attention while there’s mostly crickets about all the murders in other cities? While tragic, this shooting doesn’t even come close to equaling what happened in Chicago this weekend.

The victims and perps of gang violence are all known to eachother, they're likely revenge killings as these cycles go on for years even decades.
