    Notice how quickly the law enforcement speakers announced that it was a "random" shooting?

    Did anyone mention that the area represents the metro center of the wealthy Jewish population on the north shore?

    Did anyone mention what kind of weapon was used?

    This is probably going to amount to a "clean up" operation because it smells of a "cartel" related payback situation.
    The first clue is that the shooter dropped the weaponry.
    Typical of aftermarket hits because you can buy the weapons at dirt cheap prices. Happens in Chicago proper all the time.

    I guess when the results of the politics actually desyroys life it is suddenly not a political issue.
    How convenient. Instead we get tears for the victims whom the state did sod all to protect.

    You have extremely strict gun laws in Illinois. Highland Park is no exception.

    If this had happened just 10 miles south within the city of Chicago, it would be included in a weekend death count but would never have made it to the national and international news desks.

    Once again our present laws and their level of enforcement proved insufficient to avert this tragedy. 6 are dead at this writing. 6 lives cut short that will never happen again. One organization which tries to keep track of mass shootings reports over 200 thus far this year.
