These are not personal comments. You were asked to name the statute, and meet the facts to the elements. Dumping a link on a table like a dead bird is not successfully completing that assignment. You did receive partial credit for naming the statute, and it was pointed out that you're doing better than other students. Far from being a personal attack, that's an attaboy I believe in you try harder. You're welcome. Now try to put on your thinking cap and finish the rest of the assignment. How were the elements of the statute violated by actual provable conduct?
There are illegal, criminal forms of speech. But is Jones even facing a prison sentence? I thought this was a civil defamation case? Regardless, no, defamation is not protected speech, and you can face penalties for engaging in defamation.
There are criminal forms of speech, and Jones hasn't engaged in that conduct. If you disagree, quote the statute and meet the facts to the elements. It is indeed a defamation case and yes that is the remedy for speech that is a lie. Not prison time. The call was for prison time, please check what the post you respond to was responding to to understand context clues.
Because most republicans still think he's a hero. Has trump ever denounced him after praising his work?
So I see republicans here still refuse to denounce him. They are too busy arguing why it doesn't matter.
This is an accountability moment for trafficking in defamation for profit. Unfortunately for Jones he’s going to be made the poster boy example of it. And it’s going to reach far beyond this trial. His attorneys turned over two years worth of texts and emails apparently inadvertently and did not claw them back when presented the opportunity. That’s how they know he committed perjury in this case beyond the repeated admonitions from the judge about his truthfulness. This phase of the trial was about credibility. He’s not credible. He’s toast. J-6 Committee wants those emails and texts because they line-up with his testimony to them and also with who he was communicating with 1/6 and before. Something may shake out from that misplay by his legal team. He appears to have a problem with the truth. Hopefully he’ll get a hammering and it will pay dividends in clearing up our airwaves in the not too distant future. Recklessly lying for profit will not be so profitable.
You elected a guy who praised his work. That in itself is a crisis. The Constitution is more important than the economy. In a moment trump was proven to be unfit for office. That should have been it right there! That should have been sufficient for anyone and everyone to throw trump out on his butt. But if only your money matters to you, so be it. You don't care about us and we don't care about you. And yes, people like jones and trump are destroying the nation. So it matters.
This really is a sort of nonsense victory because when Alex Jones said wasn't criminal. The bottom dwelling media has exploded with this I did a Google search and there's like two or three thousand pages and I gave up all bottom feeder media talking about this as though it was a story.
Perjury is a crime and he was caught red handed today. Too damn funny watching him literally pouring sweat while on the stand. And he was caught showing his current judge burning on his website. LOL! His own lawyer "accidentally" sent the prosecutor all of Jone's text messages. OMG this is pure comedy. If somebody doesn't end up killing him, Jones will probably commit suicide. They are going to hang this SOB.
Jones is a conspiretard, he’s as close to republicans as John edwards (DOTY) is to dems. Jones is an idiot who fleeces stupid people.
Oh boy.... "Exclusive: Jan. 6 Committee Prepares to Subpoena Alex Jones’ Texts, Emails Jones’ lawyers in a Sandy Hook defamation case fumbled three years worth of texts and emails. The committee would like to know more about any contacts with Donald Trump’s team regarding the Jan. 6 Capitol attac "The January 6th House committee is preparing to request the trove of Alex Jones’s text messages and emails revealed Wednesday in a defamation lawsuit filed by victims of the Sandy Hook massacre, Rolling Stone has learned. On Wednesday, Sandy Hook victims’ attorney Mark Bankston told Jones that his attorney had mistakenly sent Bankston three years worth of the conspiracy theorists emails and text messages copied from his phone." https://www.rollingstone.com/politi...-cell-phone-jan6-committee-subpoeana-1392270/
What evidence do you have that he "purposefully" agitated people to attack others? I haven't seen evidence of this, but I haven't followed the case that closely.
I'm not sure if you understand the term incite from a legal standpoint. It doesn't seem so. Edit: Looks like others have been trying to clear this up for you to no avail. Which part is still confusing for you? I'd be happy to help explain it for you.
... Great! Still looking for the audio with him saying it wasn't real. That would be nice. Cannot seem to find it it on the internet anywhere but it should have been played in court...
In video, good article all the times he said fake/hoax etc Here is exactly what Alex Jones has said about the Sandy Hook massacre | Media Matters for America
Ya. The claimant just found out part of their case is based on video from Jones' show, edited to make it sound like he said something he didn't about them. This one might actually get interesting.
