Except tRaitor tRump has resisted ALL subpoena's. I'm not buying Garland would not have this nailed down before allowing it; it's not his style. I believe he's a true patriot and legal professional that would rather see tRaitor tRump get away Scott free than bend, much less break rules.

 

The poster wanted a list of crimes that Trump has committed. He got what he asked for. Probably more than he wanted, though.

I love how the right supports this guy who’s low ethics have been fact for YEARS, and who claimed Hillary was worse than the Rosenbergs for having a State Department approved server, yet its an overreach to go get classified documents that Trump admitted he took, and wouldn’t return.

Personally, I think they raided his residence because some of that information was leaked…..

Well, it's not like judges signing bogus search warrants is unprecedented or anything... and I can't remember the last one who paid any real price for having done so.

A.G. Michael Mukasey, issued a memo to all DoJ employees way back in 2008, advising everyone in the department of justice that politics should play no part in the timing of criminal charges, and that indictments should never be brought for the purpose of affecting an election. Whether or not the raid at Mar-a-Lago was officially "for the purpose of effecting an election", it sure smells that way to me. We will have to wait for more details to know.

The Justice Department’s inspector general, Michael Horowitz, said in a 2018 review of the 2008 policy: "...the Justice Department has a longstanding unwritten practice to avoid overt law enforcement and prosecutorial activities close to an election." What 'close to an election' means is subjective, but if these efforts by Biden's administration are designed to disqualify Trump's potential 2024 candidacy, then there needs to be some reckoning.

Whether republicans can find the stones to follow through when they regain power... and they WILL eventually regain power... is another question all together. Recent history would suggest not.

One of the things Trump was known for was his continuous fight against a corrupt DOJ politicizing their activities in order to take him down. Real or imagined, this raid will be seen by lots of folks as just that. It began a few days before his inauguration, and continues to this day. It had better be the real deal this time, and substantive, because the continual fruitless witch hunts are backfiring bigly on the democrats, and the democrats have enough to worry about without all that.

 

Why doesn’t he show us the warrant? Zero chance he’s telling the whole story, same game he played when his affairs with a sex worker came out.

 

How do you even know what documents were classified? As POTUS he had the authority to declassify whatever he wanted to. Just because word "Classified" appears on the document doesn't mean it still is.

Why would Biden's DOJ be worried about Trump having something on Republicans?

 

Right before a mid term the formet President's house is searched based on a NARA request? A search that has never happened before in the history of America. Right before a midterm election? A NARA request that of in the past was enforced under a gentlemen's agreement, but under Biden enforced with 30 FBI agents. This is the sort of thing one might expect in a banana republic.

But to get to your question of why one would might "dismiss" (which I take to mean not trust) the motive for a search warrant. One reason would be the FBI role in the fake collusion story. Remember, this is the same FBI that ignored the Hunter Biden laptop so as to not influence an election. With respect to the Walmart comment, ever heard of a false affidavit?

What this thread illustrates sadly is that there are no old schools liberals left -- the sort of people concerned about rights, limiting government power, and so forth. There are none left. None. Now the left is all about top down authoritarian government as long as they are at the top. Which is why I have taken to using the term communists in various posts for the American left rather than liberals, progressive liberals, etc.

Up until now, I was not a huge fan of Trump running for reelection. But he appears the only hope for maintaining the American Constitution.

Trump now claims to now have a list of government employees to fire which is why he needs to be reelected. If he returns as President, he needs to fire every FBI agent and supervisor involved in the political search of his house. FYI, these individuals are what in the US is called Excepted Service and for the most part cannot appeal adverse personnel actions.

 

Who knows what was in those emails since they are missing.
