Tucker Carlson Tonight 08/12/2022 https://www.bitchute.com/video/OmPrnkdMI7g2/ Tulsi Gabbard hosts Tucker!?!? Nice!
She is a left of center populist so her and our ideas intersect often on populist and anti establishment matters. That she’s still a part of the reserve forces in the military helps too.
As the parties switched on war, she got caught in the crossfire. 10 years ago you could describe her as fairly left; she endorsed Bernie, but the Democrats have embraced the neocon foreign policy and woke gender politics, which didn't agree with her, so she's now on the outs with the party.
I don't think Dems switched. Despite of what people say, they have never been shy of using military force when needed, and even when its not needed. Same is/was true with Republicans until recently when they were told to be anti-war and anti-NATO. I think they will return to their old selves in time. US Foreign policy is what it is, and not driven so much by the parties as it is by the CFR.
Hmmm I'm not sure about that. If it were 2006, and Russia invaded Ukraine, I'm not sure Democrats would be as gung ho to get involved in the war as they are now.
I think it makes sense to think twice before going to war with Russia over a place like Krimea. What I said about them not being shy about using military force is true, and I think you know it. Recently they engaged in Syria and Libya and re-engaged in Iraq when ISIS took places like Fallujah and they escalated Afghanistan (by a lot) in 2009. Going further back, they voted for Iraq invasion (based on faulty evidence) and Gulf War 1. How about Vietnam? Johnson escalated that one. Korea? Yep, they were not oppose to that either. The claims about them being anti-war pacifists and "anti-military" is political BS.
You are going so far back that it was a totally different Democratic Party then, at least as Vietnam and Korea is concerned. I've always viewed the Gulf War as totally a unique situation, however you do have kind of a point about Iraq 2 and Syria. They were willing to go to war for Syria for some reason. Ironically Obama mostly managed to resist those influences.
And Libya. I forgot to mention Kosovo. It has been the same tradition even since Vietnam, Korea and even the World Wars.
It is terrific. They put a fat man who thinks he is a woman in charge of over seeing our physical and mental health.
we anti war pacifists are generally democrats, but are frequently outraged by the things our party goes along with.
You mean like the "bring the troops back home" which Trump campaigned on? His supporters chanted it after him at the rallies. Pacifists? No. I think "minion" and "lemming" are better words, because they would have supported anything their leader came up with. Sure, there ARE pacifists among Dem voters, and they are at odds at what their party actually does in regards of foreign policy. Foreign policy is all talk. The CFR decides foreign policy. not the political parties.
