This speaks of "sets" (aka boxes) labelled with four designations. Do you really think they went through each set and individually examined each document?

Nothing here suggests they examined the contents of the boxes. Based on the labelling of the boxes there was no need for them to sort through them. They were also authorized to seize any materials/boxes in close proximity of the classified documents.

 

If the FBI determined they were T**** brand boxes, they would certainly want to use their own, to make sure they didn't disintegrate at first human contact....

"At will" doesn't mean casually, no process, no reclassification. Many or most of the classified documents seized bear no indication or mark reflecting declassification.

Now you can see for yourself that:

- the lawyer did sign the receipt; her name IS written on the receipt; the name of the agent and their signature have been redacted for their protection.

- it is written on the warrant ( middle of page 2 of 7) :

"Unless delayed notice is authorized below, you must give a copy of the warrant and a receipt for the property taken to the person from whom or from whose premises the property was taken, OR leave the copy and receipt at the place where the property was taken."

So, nowhere is it written that a copy of the warrant MUST be given to anyone in particular.

You may find it strange, but this is how the warrant is written.

 

The amount of time spent is unexplainable suggesting they were either looking for other incriminating evidence or planting it for another honest agent to discover.. Use your common sense if you have any. You see a box labeled "Top Secret Documents". You've found what you're looking for. Even if you opened the box and looked at the top file and discovered it was labeled with the same designation why would you take the time to examine each individual item in the boxes to determine if they were what you were looking for when you were authorized to seize any materials in close proximity to a classified document?

The National Archives have already debunked this bull ****. Obama engaged in a hand off of these documents. They went under NA control. People like you and @Bluesguy and Trump are claiming that the temporary warehouse they were sent to was somehow Obama's personal property. It wasn't. It's governed by the NA.

 

Please specify exactly HOW Humpty's 4th amendments rights have been violated by the DOJ/FBI.

Since you are familiar with the this and I only know what I read — why was Clinton not charged?
Was it because she cooperated or could something not be proven?
She went through several investigations and many would agree they cost her the election

“The “White House” just announced that it had NO KNOWLEDGE of the early morning RAID on Mar-a-Lago, or the break in of Melania’s closets, my safe’s, or the secured and locked storage area where unclassified documents were safely held, and which the FBI knew of, was shown, and made recommendations that another lock be added (which they cracked, but not with the safecracker that they brought with them!). Does ANYBODY really believe that the White House didn’t know about this? WITCH HUNT!”

While this is all true, it is, nevertheless, nothing but an excusing pretext: can anyone now gain access to all those documents, which were at Mar-a-lago, through a FOIA (the Freedom Of Information Act) request, or is it all still being treated as classified? It is just an unthinking conception, that a president could have declassified something, in the past, and not told anyone about it. How, then, would all the paperwork be refiled, so that the records would be treated with the corrected security protocols, including who could see them? And how would people who did read them, know the correct classification of the information?

For that matter, if all this info had been declassified, when Trump left the White House with it, why did he previously return 12 boxes of it, which had been marked as top secret, or above?



(Or does the answer to these questions, and more, lie in the new name of our country, to which you were alluding, when you said that the president's "constitutional, plenary... power to classify or declassify information," was upheld by the Supreme Court Of The I.S.?)

 

It’s interesting that you say this is a double standard and also believe the others in question are guilty.
Meaning you believe trump is guilty “you don't give a ****”.

Seems like a race to the bottom as extremists on both said will simply say X wasn't charged and I “feel” like they should have been so I support my guy/girl not being charged as I care more about revenge than I do the law. Sounds like a poor narrative

At the end of the day, Trump wont go to jail, they would never jail a former president as that would make the country look bad on the world stage. But the Trump story changes by the hour, and it really does look like he did some bad stuff. We know for a fact that he took stuff he wasnt supposed to, and that he freely admits that. But where it gets dicey is when he says he wont return them. For the most part i would guess that 90% of what he has are his papers from his presidency, which legally belong to the national archives, and he refuses to turn over. But the classified stuff he took, that could be very bad for him.

But what stands out for me are the righties here who are downplaying the things he took, and claiming that none of this had national security implications, and that these documents are “no big deal”, and he can “declassify what he wants” etc. But the unbelievable hypocrisy of that position is astounding, and the tone deafness of these people is ridiculously transparent after they spent 2016-2020 chanting “lock her up” because Hillary had an email server. I mean it is just astounding to watch this tone deaf debate from the right (not directed at you Polly)
