Meanwhile these are human beings that you're so callously talking about being shipped back and forth. And no, I don't support having illegals here one bit. I think our laws regarding illegals have ALWAYS been too weak.
BTW...they are being "shipped out" to a shelter in Bourne as there is not sufficient shelter on the island, for obvious reasons.

Is the Biden administration attacking states when they bus and fly infected illegal invaders across the US in the dead of the night?

Nope it is an attack on US citizens when in the night the Biden administration loads them up on buses and planes without testing or vaccinations or vetting and sending them to places like Florence Ky and use tax payer money to put them up in motels….

So then DeSantis is guilty of the same since he loaded up illegals and flew them to the Vineyard. What should we do about Biden and DeSantis doing this to US citizens?

Impacted their lives for the better. The obviously came over here illegally because their lives were pretty bad wherever they left from. Or at least bad enough to where in their eyes living in America illegally is better than living in their native country legally in their personal circumstances.

They are now living on a military base for the time being with adequate food, clean water, shelter, HVAC, bedding, wash facilities, medical care, and security. They get all of that for free (to them) when we could (and should) have just as easily put them on a plane and flown it the opposite direction and landed it somewhere in Latin America and said bye.

Which one would be more "mean"?

Or they could have been living in a multi million dollar mansion right now but those mean old millionaires shewed these poor folks away with the help of the Governor and National Guard under the guise of "We don't have adequate room and services to care for them around here". What? There's like $50 billion worth of houses and 10000 bedrooms in that neighborhood and everybody there is rich what do you mean there aren't adequate rooms and services for them there? Surely the family of 4 doesn't "need" all 15 of the bedrooms in that house and has enough money to at least give these folks some sandwiches to eat for a few weeks while they look for work and save up enough to move out? No?

I disagree with you. The immigration problem is world-wide. It was not caused by the Democrats, it was caused because living conditions all over the world have deteriorated and people are looking to go somewhere (anywhere) where they can survive and life. The right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is right that all humanity has and not just us.

This is NOT about what the right or the left WANTS. This is about humanity toward other people and the Democrats represent humanity more than the right does. What you (and all who think like you) are doing is trying to punish the people who have humanity. What you are saying is "punish people for having humanity and leave the inhumane untouched". You are showing yourself to be inhumane with this view.

I do agree that the States that are getting the brunt of immigrants should not get punished for it. What should be done is that all 52 States should bear some of the costs of immigration. Immigrants should be evenly sent to every State and not just the Sanctuary Blue States. This is NOT a Democrat problem, it is a world problem and we should all be part of it.

I don't understand it. Biden and Co. keep telling us that the border is secure and that no one is walking across it. Therefore I would have to assume that no illegals are being transported across the states. Others in the administration tell us that no one is illegal. Every account that I have read is that every one of these bus and plane flights are to sanctuary cities which is open and welcome. Seems to me some people are talking with forked tongues. Martha's Vineyard really missed a good opportunity to hire these people, and pay them under the table, for lawn care and maid service. There pretty good roofers also. I guess it will be Cape Cods gain.

I think the main problem is, you are giving those states more EC, congressional, and senate power and yours less.
If those states have lax citizenship laws, you may be shooting yourself in the foot. But what ever, as long as prohibition is in effect, the worst of them will always make it across the border and migrate to states with the strictest anti drug laws anyway. Its where their product moves. The production oriented ones will...well be productive.

Actually the last census has the population at 332 million and the estimated illegal and undocumented at about 18 million. So that is about 5.4 %. You may be right though as you know how the government is. They may not claim asylum seekers as illegals. There could be up to 30 million who are waiting for court days and or have not shown up for their scheduled court date.

"We have the governor of Florida ... hatching a secret plot to send immigrant families like cattle on an airplane," said state Rep. Dylan Fernandes, who represents Martha's Vineyard. "Ship them women and children to a place they weren't told where they were going and never alerted local officials and people on the ground here that they were coming. It is an incredibly inhumane and depraved thing to do."

NPR was able to interview three of the migrants late Wednesday. "They (the migrants) told us they had recently crossed the border in Texas and were staying at a shelter in San Antonio," NPR's Joel Rose said on Morning Edition.

The migrants said a woman they identified as "Perla" approached them outside the shelter and lured them into boarding the plane, saying they would be flown to Boston where they could get expedited work papers. She provided them with food. The migrants said Perla was still trying to recruit more passengers just hours before their flight.

The plane flight carrying dozens of migrants and paid by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is the latest move by Republican officials to send migrants to Democrat-controlled cities.

Have you Trump supporters so lost your sense of decency and humanity that you can't see how wrong it is to dupe human beings to be used as props?

Republican politicians with vaulting ambition know that they can rely upon the allegiance of xenophobes.

Thus, rather that petitioning their congressional representatives and senators to legislate the comprehensive national policy concerning immigration long desperately needed, they shamelessly use desperate women, children, and men as headline-grabbing political ammunition.

Personally, I have no problem with regions vulnerable to asylum-seekers being relieved of the unequal onus, but targeting American communities by their political affinities is a calculated stunt that ignores their humanity. Why do the self-promoters provide no warnings to allow decent people to prepare to practice the Christian corporal works of mercy - sheltering the homeless, feeding the hungry, etc. - as many are ready and willing to do?

Cynical authoritarians like DeSantis and Abbot admire and emulate the Fidel Castro approach:

The latest human weapons, the migrants being sent to progressive locales, are asylum-seekers who have been processed by federal immigration authorities and are awaiting court dates They have the right, under law, to be in the United States.

Immigration demands serious attention in Congress by members of both political parties. Neither will exercise their responsibility as long as there is more to be gained by ruthless politicians that treat desperate migrants as ideological cannon fodder rather than as fellow humans in need, deserving of Christian works of mercy.

Also, in the Christian tradition, it is more blessed to give than receive. Will southern-bound busloads and planeloads of selected folks soon be arriving in the states of the authoritarian rabble-rousers?

There is nothing illegal about doing thusly unto others, but prevailing principle will prevent such craven reciprocity.

:applause:to the bolded part. The strange thing is that the same people who praise DeSantis for this cynical stunt claim that they are Christians. I don't know, I was taught in bible school that you should love your fellow human beings and treat them with respect, especially the ones that are poor and downtrodden. In contrast, the religious right is treating the poor and downtrodden with disdain, but they LOVE the trust fund baby billionaire, who uses the bible as a political tool, but probably never set foot in a church voluntarily in his whole life. Politics makes strange bedfellows.

Because Biden has refused to enforce American laws that protect our borders. He should have been impeached for his treasonous actions.

I think Martha’s Vineyard needs 500 a day. That’s peanuts compared to the 5000 a day border states get that didn’t even vote for this
