Where does it say that applies to the president who has the unique power of being able to unilaterally declassify?

DeSantis is a demagogue populist, not a mortal danger to our representative federal republic.

Is DeSantis getting anything important done in Florida? No. His education bill was missing the most important thing—either putting more money into a reformed public school system or implementing a voucher program. Florida teachers are in the bottom five of salaries.

Haven't figured out yet that Americans voted for Biden because he's not Trump?

Thanks for the comments, but it doesn't prove a process of declassification doesn't exist or that declassification can lawfully be "casual" and assumed without steps taken.

And actually declassification is just one point. Another is that a judge said that the documents Trump had were paid for by the people and they belong to the people, and therefore it was a violation of the Presidential Records Act for him to have them at Maga Laga. So Trump broke more than one law.

Two stupid questions I want to ask you:

    Did you vote for Trump?

If you did and found out that he declassified documents that had the names of our assets and they were therefore killed because he did not make his declassifying of the documents known to anyone else and they were stolen from his Mar-a-Lago estate, would you vote for him in 2024?

This whole OP is not about the legality or illegality of what Trump did (according to the law) but about whether he is a person that deserves being president and whether what he did was right or wrong..................from a moral, ethical, principled and humane point of view.

    Did you say "visualize"?

Did you already forget when he did share classified information with the Russians back in 2017?

Protesting what? You Trump types have no coherent plan for nearly anything. How do we stop illegals when half of them overstay a visa? How to fix public education? Infrastructure? Health care? Trade policy? The cost of higher education? Energy policy? Climate change? Our allisnces?

So how is your guy doing twenty months in? Think about what the last guy was dealing with, a worldwide pandemic and death never seen before "So the DNC crowed"! I think most people "If asked" would go back to pre-pandemic way of life in a heartbeat :)

I find it incredible that any person can be aggressively critical of Trump, and not see Joe Biden as the wrecking ball destroying America.
Everybody has faults, and Trump supporters are indeed aware of his faults. Biden's faults are different- but far more relevant to the state the nation.
However, those who pursue vendettas to ease their emotional distress have very, very big faults.

If he declares, Trump will from then on face questions about whether or not he will support the eventual Republican nominee.

Aw, c'mon—you're not even trying to deflect attention from your side's glaring lack of substance.

I guess you refuse to acknowledge the nomenclature of the 1/6 Committee being a "kangaroo court". They have the discretion of referring cases to the DOJ.

My boss wanted a report. I told him I had written it in my mind so that should be good enough.

The cited article gives the "summary" opinion (with quotes) regarding EP. Perhaps you would prefer to ignore that those quoted statements were part of the reasoning of the court. EP in Trump's case is not without merit and would be a good one for the SC to hear.

So I guess you consider the Benghazi hearings "kangaroo courts" too.
