We are now once again in reaction mode and I do not think any solution involves our oil reserves. It'll be interesting to see what this does to the cost of oil, however going into a recessionary period, this news does not bode well.

Biden is releasing 10 million barrels of oil from our strategic reserves because he knows the midterms will be greatly influenced by the inflation high gas prices will bring.

Biden when campaigning: "I'm the foreign policy expert who's running for office"

Biden when campaigning: "Putin won't mess with me"

Since Biden took office he's been a foreign policy disaster and Putin has walked all over him. Gas prices are going to go through the roof and Biden is still trying to force us to 'transition' to electric vehicles because the far left environmentalists control him. Once we have tons of EVs, which we can't support with our electric grid, then China will do the same thing OPEC is doing because they control the stuff that makes the batteries.

Biden is a nightmare, a totally incompetent crap stain on the country. Maybe someone should tell him high gas prices are a social justice issue and ending his war on gas will go a long way towards reducing inequities. The people in Martha's Vineyard can afford gas, the people in Detroit, Chicago and St Louis can't. How are the illegals he invited here supposed to afford gas and other items when Biden is literally driving inflation with his policies?

Putin has walked all over him? He is getting his ass kicked at the moment. Literally his able bodied men are fleeing his country and Ukraine has shown that a Russia is weak.

Maybe you missed it, but Putin waited for Biden to be in charge before invading another country and turning off the gas in another. Maybe those things weren’t on the list of things Of things not to Do that Biden gave Putin. Do you remember that?

    "U.S. pressure"

    There is none.

When Traitor Joe crawled into bed with the "Death to America!" crowd in Tehran he threw away whatever leverage and good will he may have had with the Sunni Arab regimes in the Gulf, and Putin doesn't give a flying **** what the cuck in the White House wants. He made that clear the day he invaded Ukraine.

Biden & Co.'s idiotic and self-destructive war on our oil and gas industry is a boneheaded mistake that our country and every American is literally paying for, and one day that imbecile and his party are going to pay for it, too.

Just WOW…so much to unpack here…….

Lets start with…..when Trump got OPEC to reduce production, you and yours claimed he was a genius for doing that, now that Biden is in office, he’s a “disaster”…..ok….got it….

Putin got OPEC to lower prices to raise prices because HE supplies much of that oil. JFC the right cannot be that obtuse. The same people that were chearing on Russia when they invaded Ukraine, are now somehow blaming Biden for Putin actions. You know, the guy you supported ? Cant wait to see the spin-meisters on Fox News tonight.

So here is what Biden should do. He should force all oil production in the US to now be used domestically only, to drive prices DOWN in the US, and watch all the right wingers heads assplode.

    Yes, lets unpack this.

This was also the same time that oil was trading at below $0 and there was no storage available. Since there was no consumption at the time, reducing production was critical.

That egregious statement that anyone was cheering on Russia when they invaded here is not only outrageous, but insulting! The left was still buying Russian oil months into the conflict. It was the Right that yelled to STOP BUYING Russian oil to choke of Putin's war machine. Trying to rewrite the script merely adds more mud to your face.

GOP wants to end Russian oil imports to US, boost production

Um.... you would drive the cost UP with this ludicrous suggestion. You would be taking a huge amount of oil out of the world market. You would be FUNDING Russia even more. Do you guys think about such consequences... That was a rhetorical question.

And he is getting his ass kicked. Without a loss of a single American Soldier. Big win for the US

In 1975 a the Energy Policy and Conservation Act was passed requiring that oil produced in the US could not be exported. This law was repealed by a 2016 appropriations act supported by both parties but signed by Obama. This is why we need politicians that promote an America first policy. Chickens come home to roost.

It seemed pretty likely to me that gas prices would come down before the midterm elections. And I think we all know what will happen to gas prices after the midterm election. Is that too cynical? lol

Sure. Billions and billions spent on solving problems in another country while we have massive debt and unsolved problems here. You call that a big win for the US? What is the ROI for this spending -- that is for the average American taxpayer?

How do you define defeat? If you define it as a total destabalization of a nation with thousands of strategic and tactical nuclear weapons that may not necessarily be a good idea.

You people remind me of this. Particularly now that reports of a Russian doomsday weapon are starting to surface.

No, it wasnt. Reducing oil output was just to keep prices higher. The only thing keeping them high would hav hurt was the future market

Really, Fox New wasnt cheering and claiming Russia was right in their invasion of Ukraine ? You dont get to re-write the history of Tucker and Laura supporting the Russian invasion. There are wayyyyyy to many soundboxes form thier shows to prove that out.

PS, we dont buy “Russian oil” we buy oil via agreements with OPEC, and OPEC PLUS, of which Russia is a member

One Rep Governor, and one GOP senator does not the GOP make.

There were may dems saying the same thing, but also remember that this was when Biden ended some oil leases and ended Keystone XL and the right was loosing their minds on disinformation

So which is is Sybil, do we become energy independent, or do we fund Russia via OPEC and OPEC PLUS ?

How is us reducing our imports of Russian oil “fund them more” ?

No everyone knows why and aren't ignorant to oil and gas prices and how those correlates to oil prices and national security. It's so bad Biden is going to authorize oil shipments from the direst oil producer in the world, VENEZUALA. Yes, Biden the genius let's not pump more here where we do it environmentally friendly, obvious he doesn't give a crap about the planet. lol He's getting punked so bad the Saudi's are working for Putin to ensure he keeps cash flowing for his genocide. But LET"S GO BRANDON! lol you simply can't make these failures up!

Imagine how unimportant this news would he if we didn't take steps to reduce our production and kept more oil domestically.

Instead now we are being reactionary... because of the turtles or some other ridiculous excuse.

Nope. I heard it first hand from boots on the ground. I have many contacts inside the country from my time in Kiev in the late 90’s.

Har! It looks like the famous "Fist-Bump Felt 'Round The World" had all the force and effect of a popcorn fart.

Hip Hip Hooray, 'Big Guy Biden' -- but at least you didn't bow down to one of their big-wigs like your old boss, Obummer, did....

And these contacts have sources inside Russian High Command? Boots on the ground = rumours.

Every month we hear how Ukraine is totally kicking Russian butt, Russians are deserving/defecting in massive numbers, MLRS is destroying the Russian army, Russian generals are being assassinated, Ukraine has taken out an armored division, and on and on.

Ukraine should be in Moscow by now if you believe all this BS.

Just another reason to go EV. FYI, this will not stop, no matter who is in the White House. A blind man can see that.
