It's finally here. The World Series of 2022 will begin Friday, October 22, 2022 and it has the Houston Astros and the Philadelphia Phillies Good luck to both teams.
I've been telling my wife the Phillies look like a team of destiny. And regardless of how good they are, I can't root for the Asterisks. Good luck!
No US-Born Black Players Expected on World Series Rosters – NBC10 Philadelphia (nbcphiladelphia.com) If Houston Astro outfielder Michael Brantley had not been put on the injured list, he would have been in the lineup, and we would have had one U.S. born black player in the series.
It's the first time since 1956 that a no hitter was pitched in the World Series and Houston did it!!!
Awesome... And, What is Even better: Verlander gets one last chance to prove that he isn't a disgrace to baseball... IF JV can win Game 5 (with an all-time great pitching performance) THEN JV will redeem himself...
Whoever wins will be one up on the other. Getting a picture of Don Larsen and Diana Dors was pretty much impossible.
Dusty Baker gets his first world series championship as a Manager. Well deserved. However, the only taint on this world series is having a also run in a team that finished 14 games behind the division co-leaders. But TV money being what it is, expect more also runs and non-division winners to make it in the future.
