Trump was part of the cause of that due to his mishandling of Covid, and his debt being more than any other Presidents was in one term before him
Trump's mind-set is it's already rigged against him. Today his lawyers filed some motion against Twitter and compared Trump with Galileo. Trump is being "persecuted" just like Galileo was. Then it went on making comparisons .
sure he would, course when the repub party canceled primaries in their States and just declared him the winner, he did not whine about that I think most republicans are as sick of trump as are most dems, they are just afraid to admit it
They are not, really. It’s their loony fringe, who doesn’t even believe Pence when he says it. Those are zombie cultists, not Republicans.
Well..if she is going to have a blast at me...do it very accurately. Her stated issue was with ONE word. The one she bolded.....Humpty. That is plain fact.
Buggered if I know...but...the word Humpty (she said....and bolded) was what, she said, prevented her reading the rest of my post. If she was not a Humpty supporter, why make that an issue? Nah, I am quite correct here, and you are barking up the wrong tree. I am pretty careful with my words. I have been calling Donald Trump Humpty Trumpty here for years, and not once has ANYONE got uppity about it...(in fact...Murdoch even stole my idea in the NY Post) until along came Trix claiming offense.....just today. Unless she has a supportive thing for Humpty, why take the point?
He will never accept losing. He’s going to get a reality check over the next two years, but he won’t be capable of believing it. If he can get through the next two years without indictment, which I doubt.
Trump will win the republican nomination. He has a hardcore group that will ride and die with him. If by some chance he loses the primaries he will probably run as an independent with Kari Lake as a running mate. Image Trump and Lake campaigning against DeSantis and Haley. It would be an absolute blood bath.
So, 2016 was a radically different time than 2024 for a lot of reasons, that made the political climate favorable for Donald Trump: -Back in 2016, GOP primary voters basically looked at Trump the same way Democrats looked at Biden: Whoever could beat HRC, who a substantial amount of Americans viewed as an equally toxic and corrupt candidate. How that presidency would've turned out, nobody knows but not many people were willing to find out either.(And in case our Liberal friends want to regurgitate 2016, which is just as boring as Trump/Biden regurgitating 2020. I'm going to point out in short order that pumping out the vote in California did nothing for Ms.Hillary's cause.) -Beyond just GOP voters, there was a substantial anti-establishment wave, led by Bernie Sanders on the other side. The economy was just barely coming out of what Obama termed "the greatest economic crisis since the great depression"(his words, not mine folks) and it was clear that the government was and btw still doesn't give a rat's ass for the people. Now, I for one am still very much anti-establishment in 2024. "Who we are" had four years of government, and they've reminded us of every reason of why we kicked them out in 2016. However, Trump is a politician and a known quantity now, not a firecracker and that's a big difference. Another big difference? 1/6 and the failure to concede. It's obvious that a majority of Americans concur with the idea of conceding in campaign races, and no one wants to see the capitol riots again. And Trump is utterly ill-suited to take responsibility for either of those things, nor does he want to. If the vote in this year's midterms is any indication, Trump will indeed lose the GOP nomination. Possibly to De Santis. But I could vote for an establishment politician, provided good governance. I was such a strong Marco Rubio supporter and if he declared for 2024, I'd happily campaign for him.
It’s not trump that needs to see it, it’s the maga crowd, and they can’t afford to let go and lose face. That spells doom for the repubs, but they were warned and chose pandering to idolatry over country. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/11/15/as-...back-desantis-youngkin-other-republicans.html
And if he is allowed to get away with this (indictments dropped) then it opens a gateway for everyone facing prosecution
But that won't satiate his narcissism and, much more importantly, the narcissism/megalomania that Trumpism/Conservatism implies. I have never understood why conservatives can't just LEAVE PEOPLE ALONE. No one is telling them they have to marry a trans or have an abortion. If we want to Burn in Hell why don't you just LET us? We'd get along SOO much better.
This is why Trump will be the Republican candidate and the Republican Party as it has existed will end in 2024 Biden will be President until 2028. Harris until 2036. and AOC steps down in 2044. Conservatism will be dead and little mourned, it has never been a comfortable ideology in a Free country .
