I can already see it on here. People all excited over Trump's announcement and lining up to take turns to fondle his testicles.
    STOP!
I get it, we liked his policies but that doesn't mean anything if he loses.
I like Trump but he already lost once.

Want to win 2024? 3 words:

    WOMAN OF COLOR

I think its clear from the midterms that most Americans favor presentation over POLICIES. I know, them some azz-backwards priorities but welcome to 2022.

I'm sorry but Trump won't be your savior in 2024. I encourage everyone to vote in the primaries (I have skipped them more than I'd like to admit but will be participating next time around).

Agreed, Trump just has way too much baggage.. But honestly, it will not matter who the GOP runs, the DNC and the MSNBCNN will simply lie, fear and smear relentlessly "Whomever" takes up the challenge.

Two years is a lifetime in politics. Trump may pick up a lot of steam, or he may fizzle out and barely be relevant by the time the primaries begin. I am willing to wait it out to see how things unfold and I will make my personal decision with that knowledge in mind. There is no reason to be in a rush. Also, the political landscape for Republicans and Democrats in two years is wholly unknown at this point. To draw any conclusions now is a meaningless exercise in futility.

As far as nominating a specific demographic because they are that demographic? Speaking for myself, that goes against everything in which I believe. I truly hope that does not drive the nominating decision. Hopefully, the nomination will go to the person that earns it.

No sir, cheating like a mother ****er is what works for the left. "Count all ballots" is why Trump lost. Don't fall for the left's vile ways. Don't be a racist.

Furthermore, apparently you have fell for the left's propaganda....the "Trump can't win" narrative.

Don't left anyone else tell you who can or can't win. Vote for the best and vote based on their record, not promises.

Fetterman is a disturbing result indeed, but im not sure how that impacts what I said.

The people that voted for Fetterman are NOT going to vote Republican just because you nominated a black woman. All that would do in regards to those voters is make them paint that black woman as an Uncle Tom. Its not as if Herschel Walker drew enough crossover votes by virtue of his race, to make targeting the race of the candidate to be a worthwhile endeavor. In fact, he underperformed versus the top of the Republican ticket rather than the opposite.

What matters is the quality of the candidate, not what demographic boxes they check. Republicans would have been far better off with a quality candidate versus Herschel Walker who was not a great candidate but did check the box.

Trumps is all the RP has left, and he will have to have a new bag full of positive reasons to vote for him to have a chance. IMO, an RP presidential candidate will have to win at least 60% of the popular vote in to have a glimmer of a chance given the current state of election rigging in the US.

Yep... you are correct... but the sad thing is the baggage is not Trump created.... those bag are empty bags hung on his shoulder by the corrupt tactics around him... our country has become a country not of laws.... but a country of "court of public opinion".... we have seen it with Jordan, Kavanaugh, Russian collusion, etc...
And yes they will not stop at DeSantis as they will find a woman that will jump on the band wagon to make millions by claiming DeSantis did something to her.... which will never be taken to a real court room... just put on TV in front of America to defame him without evidence like we have seen so much before...

That's how Trump won in 2016. He presented himself as a bombastic, ignorant, bigot with autocratic impulses and Repubs couldn't get enough of it.

Yup...both sides of the media will simply lie, fear and smear relentlessly "Whomever" takes up the challenge. Let us not pretend otherwise, shall we?

It is funny in a sad way. When folks who are minorities run as conservatives, the liberals uniformly attack these folks for a) their minority status, b) their minority status, c) their minority status... cause why wouldn't they? These are the most bigoted/racist folks in our country. Democrats just are the evil they always claim or try to smear others as. When Democrats claim they have a big tent, they don't actually mean "tent" as much as they man plantation....

That isn’t how I see it. He won people with America first policies. (You people sprinkle the word “bigot” on everything you say)

Let's just realize that Trump isn't our best horse in this race and move the **** on. He needs to stop being an attention-seeking WWF icon and let someone with a real chance step up.

I was already pissed he made his announcement before all elections were over and then was double pissed when he assumed all the credit for RED getting the house.
    The nerve of this guy.

He won because he wasn't Hillary Clinton. The Republicans could have run anyone in that election and just about all the people who voted for Trump would have voted for whomever that was instead. She had the same effect on right-wing and moderate voters in the 2016 election that Trump had on left-wing and moderate voters in 2020.

But 2020 was a bit of a different story because at that point he had a political record to run on, both good and bad. He wasn't an unknown anymore. People who hadn't voted for Trump in 2016 voted for him in 2020. It's just that more people voted against him after having seen what a trainwreck he was, even some Republicans who voted for Biden even though they voted Republican for other offices.

But you are correct. The Republican party needs to move past Trump. Not America First or any of the fake patriot stuff because that's not just tied to one man, but Trump himself is too toxic now. He always was, it's just that now it's pretty much impossible to ignore even for some of his supporters.

If Trump is all the Republican Party has left, we might is well shut down the party now and let this country go one party, which is what the "Progressives" want. Trump can't win. It's that simple. He got so much baggage, both real and invented. Republicans need to get over him and look for younger blood.

As long as his VP pick is black and female then sure, why not.
Look, we already had a black president and black FEMALE VP and they were both democrats. I know people on the right hate race baiting but if it works, it works.

The Repubs will be a bunch of fools if they don’t elect DeSantis as the Repub candidate. He is their best chance of winning in ‘24.
The Dems would be better served to pick someone other than Biden, but they won’t.

    I think Desantis would win.

I think there's too many people who either won't vote or will vote against trump simply because they don't like him on a personal level. That's stupid because it doesn't matter what you think of him personally but many voters are that stupid.
