She was definitely a "good" politician for her side. She did whatever it took to win. No matter the consequences or what was good or bad for the Country as a whole.

Was she worth the trouble? HELL NO.

Inside information, that's how congress and senate get rich in the market.. Just think how well you could do if you knew of changes and even voted to influence thinks like solar power, electric vehicles and the laws requiring the phasing out of fossil fuels..

Even a moron could make money with the right information and even more money when you get to vote on economic changes :)

You may find only a hand full of honest players in Washington D.C. these days. Most are too partisan to even think about the nation, let alone put the nation above party or themselves. I've given up on that happening.

Of course, you aren't alone in that feeling- but unless condition change, it will destroy the nation. A thing to consider is that how you must play the game depends on more than just your honesty.

If you are an honest person but the game itself is corrupt, honest actions get you nothing. The lack of enforcement of primary rules of honor and ethics creates exactly that situation, and that is precisely the conditions of congress today. Congress, of all branches of government, is the only one that has no oversight, no one to answer to. Yes, that is supposed to be the voters- but we've been "throwing the bums out" for as long as I can remember, and we still wind up with dysfunction, manipulation, deception. You never see the question of conduct on the ballot, we don't have a say in that- but we should.

If you had a job with a time contract and you didn't please your employer, your contract wouldn't be renewed. But if you were caught violating the principal rules of ethics of your position, you would be fired, because that is outside the contract protection.

We have had members of congress convicted of bribery, tax fraud and dozens of felonies as well as a host of other things that shown some members as unfit for office.. Congress does have the constitutional authority to remove members deemed unfit, on the spot. Ever heard of that? Probably not. They have only done so twice in the last 156 years. When the people who make the rules ignore the rules, there are no rules- and that is how you must play the game, because nothing else works. We're not electing crooks to congress (at least most of the time) but we are throwing them into a game where if you played it straight, you would be the patsy, not the winner.

The game itself- the environment of congress- creates that condition. The rules are excellent- but not enforced. So... what if we could fix the game; make it such that if you didn't do your job honestly, you didn't have a job? Make it such that honorable conduct is the only conduct that works?

Ask yourself what an honorable congress could do for America, and it's obvious that this is the key issue to most of today's ludicrous behavior. And it's not just congress internally- it's the fact that bad conduct in leadership sets precedents for bad conduct everywhere. State and local governments, the educational systems, and the citizens themselves all relate to the examples that leaders set. The :no rules" habit spreads quickly.

Catch is Congress oversees everything else. It make the laws, controls all the agencies, collects and spends the money, everything. Now imagine a ball game with no umpires, where the players made the calls on who was safe and who was out. This is the situation in congress; and the reason it is in the same kind of chaos that ball game would be. There is no independent oversight with the authority to change that at this time. But We- we the people are the employers of those members of congress. We the people should have the ability to act when fundamental ethics are violated, and clean up the conduct.

    Working on that. Coming soon.

I am not sure it is on her own terms. She's got a husband who was so brutalized he needed cranial surgery and he was attacked because she wasn't there to attack. Republicans in her chamber were either totally indifferent or barely containing their sarcasm and nastiness.

    Not even slightly commie, actually.

Like all her ilk, she's a flaming capitalist. Anything she suggested to the contrary was a lie designed to appeal to middle class white college kids and celebrities.

I’ve never liked her. She made it worse with her handling of ACA. I do not like 2,000 page bills filled to overflowing with ____________________________ blanks that are TBD after passage. That should be considered unconstitutional.

She won re-election easily. She’s not going anywhere.

Good to see she's finally going to get her old wrinkled ass on a broom and get the hell out of there. About time!

If the Good die Young she'll probably live to see about 330 or so.

She will seek whatever position of power she can again as soon as she can. The ancient evil shall remain with us in some form.

She should be praised for giving us an inside look at the way members of Congress approach legislation. They don't actually look at them before voting on them other than who wrote them. Yet despite the moment of transparency we still vote for the idiots.

Not me! Haven’t voted for an incumbent anything on the national level in a very long time. The last time was for George HW Bush.

What we vote for, we get more of.

These crazies were after her specifically during the attack on the capital, she ignored the threat and continued on being their lightening rod and then her husband was attacked when she was again a target.
I am saying any normal human would think twice about bringing that kind of hatred and violence back to loved ones who have already suffered. Pelosi has children and grandchildren and we have to wonder what kind of mail they have been getting too.

She's not the sort to be intimidated or bullied, but its just too much to ask of the people around her. I know I would take a step back from leadership, if I were her, seeing my husband lying there post surgery. Nobody thought of Washington DC as a war zone when they first sign up to be a spouse of a Congressman.

What a bunch of melodramatic blanket smears against your political opposition.

Steven scalise did not step down do you imagine that's because he doesn't have a family?

Was his wife or kids attacked so severely that they ended up in the hospital? Its one thing if you get severely hurt because you chose your career. Its another if your loved ones get severely hurt because you chose your career. That's a very different matter.

Hopefully all the crimes of these disgusting traitors will be exposed some day, but it will take a full on revolution to pull that off.

The Establishment Republicans too. McConnell is every bit the crook and traitor that Pelosi is.

    The worst of humanity.

Pelosi is one of the most disgusting and despicable people on the planet only rivaled by Clinton. Pelosi will say anything to advance herself or party. She ran for another term 'because of the children.' What a crock of shyte.

She's a million years old, has hundreds of millions of dollars in the bank and her husband just had his brains beat in. So what does she do? She doesn't retire to take care of her husband, the thought probably never occurred to her. Instead she's staying on a job that will keep her away from her husband for long periods of time all while both of their lives have less time to spend with each other. I guess her thirst for power and inside stock tips is more important than spending her last years enjoying her money and husband. What a witch.

So you're another one of those election deniers too huh?

Did you clap and cheer for her childish and classless act that day?
