I've been speculating that Biden steps down this year. Who does President Harris appoint as Vice President if that happens?

Biden is not stepping down so this is pointless but I voted anyway just so you got some input.

Biden isn’t going to step down, he’s already planning to run for a second term.

People have been convinced Biden was going to step down since before he even won the election. Not sure where this speculation came from, but it's never seemed based on anything.

I don't see the Dems doing anything but deploying the garlic & crucifix at Buttigieg. He's accomplished zilch as a cabinet secretary, and blacks are among the least supportive of the gay community/agenda. Dems won't risk alienating one of their most important demographics.

Biden says he’s running in 2024 so he won’t be stepping down. Still I voted for Elizabeth Warren to give your poll a response. Like Harris, she is an unelectable presidential candidate so she’s a great running mate for a weak candidate.

Buttigieg in his two years in office as transportation secretary that he has nothing to bring to government other than he’s gay. He has proven to be a lazy person with few talents and personal priorities that outweigh his commitment to do his government job.

Yes there is talk that he is a raising star. From what I’ve heard, he is very personable. He also checks the identity politics “African-American” box. Even more important are the facts that he is young and an extreme leftist. The smart “Bernie bros” will catch on to that and give him their support.

Very possibly Cory Booker. He's a 'Back-East', big-city Black with a law degree, he's a 'progressive' insider, and he has some national 'name-recognition' because he ran for the Democrat presidential nomination in 2020. In the minds of other Democrats, that should make him perfectly acceptable to become the second-most powerful person in the United States....

The nation hasn't learned from history. The scandal of the Nixon administration has never been resolved. A Vice President was hand picked and then pardoned the man who picked him. Nice work!

I remember that whole Watergate scandal very well, and it stank to high-heaven. It also was a very large factor in Jimmuh Cawduh being elected president afterward, which was just produced an 'icing' of more **** on a 'cake' that was already a pile of ****.... Indeed, the 70's were probably the most thoroughly miserable time we've had as a country, except for the Civil War and the World Wars.

I was a tyke back then. What I remember most about Watergate is being irritated that the hearings preempted my Saturday morning cartoons.

Yes, I am part of the small minority who didn’t care for Ford’s blanket pardon for Nixon one bit. For example, Nixon cheated on his income taxes two years in a row and didn’t pay a dime. It have nothing to do with Watergate.

Rear Admiral Buttigieg has only one qualification. Imagine how even more unqualified he'd be if he were straight.

If he were a Republican, he'd be working in the private sector.

I wonder if "Lil'" Pete" will have anything to say about the airline outage today? It is in his area of responsibility. But since he flies on private jets much of the time, it probably doesn't interest him.

Just think. All you need to do is get elected mayor of a small city and declare yourself gay, run unsuccessfully for President and you are qualified to be a cabinet member. Who knew?

    Really.

Where in the private sector do they reward lazy people with few talents and low commitment to the job.

**Edit. Sorry, I forgot he was gay. The answer is anywhere.

Having worked in the private sector for some major corporations for many years, I can tell you that there is often a lot of dead wood around. You just have to know the right people.

Yeah I forgot he was gay so edited my original post.

He'd get hired anywhere no matter how bad he is based on that. I mean that's how he got his government gig.
