    Kammy says so, or doesn't say so. I guess she either wants to cancel the Declaration of Independence or change it.

    Who cares what that buffoon thinks considering she doesn't have the power to cancel or change the Declaration of Independence. She's just another mouth breather politician.

    At the very least her speech writer knows what her base wants to hear....

    Harris' remarks in Tallahassee, Florida, came on the 50-year-anniversary of the 1973 Supreme Court decision on Roe v. Wade, which granted women the right to an abortion nationwide. The anniversary is the first since the decision was overturned in June 2022, allowing states to set their own abortion laws.

    ...but mentioning, much less butchering, the Preamble to the DOI was pretty dumb.

    the declaration of independence is NOT the law. it speaks of rights but is not considered as law in any court.

    I'm not sure how your point is relevant, but I'm pretty sure Independentthinker is aware of that.

    What's expressed in the Preamble of the DOI is a profession of our ideals, an assertion of our natural rights and an articulation of our social contract. While it's not the law, it is supported by the positive laws in our Constitution, U.S. Code, etc..

    A lot of Lefties don't believe in natural rights. They think rights are privileges granted to us by government, but ironically they'll start screaming about their "rights" when the government treats them as privileges and takes them away from them. :smile:
