That’s how people like you always play the game. Make a claim. You’re claim is shown to be false. You find some reason to run away. one more time. Show us the children in that video.
It won't happen. Such people have to engage in the conflation fallacy in order to try to forward their arguments. If one DQ does stripping or sex acts in front of a child, well then they all must do it. But heaven forbid you apply that logic of one priest molesting a child means they all do it. And then when called out claim you're covering up for their targeted group and you must be as corrupt as the group supposedly is.
I’m still waiting for the one example. The video he provided shows no children. There is nothing in that video indicating any children are present.
I have to admit, I wasn’t entirely sold on this line of argumentation at first. I just went back and rewatched the video. I’m not even sure of where they are. At first the decorations made me think library, but now I’m thinking those were put up for the performance. This looks more like a conference room in an office building than anything else. So now, not only was it just a meh lip sync with nothing sexual, it wasn’t even in an area for children in the first place. The dishonesty is baffling.
Thing is though, even if there were children there, as long as there was parental consent, I don’t see a problem with that performance. Maybe they shouldn’t have cursed if that was the case, but a slip of the tongue is hardly grooming.
The laws generally block "adult-themed" cabaret-style shows from being performed in front of children. This is something other laws should have already been covered but hasn't been enforced. I'm not sure why people want anyone shaking their sex organs at their children, but some people are pretty gross and lack basic morals.
If the laws covered things like say a Miley Cyrus concert, where she is also shaking her sex organs, then there might be a legitimate basis to the law. But the law is not targeting actions per sé, but a specific group of people. That's the key problem with it.
I'm trying to understand your point. You're saying that Miley Cyrus concerts should be treated the same as exotic dancing and erotic performances (adult cabaret)? When we say adult cabaret performances this is what we're talking about under the law: https://www.lawinsider.com/dictionary/adult-entertainment-cabaret
When did the Governor become the judge and the executioner? If laws were broken, then enforce the laws through the courts, and if not, then create a law to make it a crime, but this authoritarian nonsense from the Governors office needs to end. This is how 3rd world dictators operate. Governors are not the judges and the executioners in this country If this was a law enforcement issue, then that would be one thing, but it is NOT a law enforcement issue because laws were not broken. So, the government is enforcing laws which do not exist (refusing to support political agenda is not a crime), and since they cannot use the courts (laws were not broken), they use things like liquor licensing and corporate contracts which the government to punish businesses who do not support the agenda. If there was a gun registration / licensing database, they would no doubt use that against the people too. However, there are guidelines to yanking liquor licenses and refusal to support political agenda is not part of it. If anyone is breaking laws here, its the DeSantis admin.
Drag shows are men dressed up in a hyper sexualized way to parody female sexuality. Which in itself is ****ing confusing to children. It's not Mrs Doubtfire dude. Less this; More this;
Who in their right minds would want their children to experience this garbage? "Son, you see...some people have a mental disorder..." Is not a conversation I want to have with my child K-G3.
Plenty of Drag performers wear sexualized clothing in their performances. Plenty don’t. Most forms or art have versions that are not family friendly. Most have versions that are as well. Ever been to a SlipKnot concert? Ever been to a Wiggles concert? As is usually the case, the truth seldom exists at either of the extremes.
Who in their right mind would want their children to experience this garbage? Yet, somehow, I don't think you would favor a law prohibiting kids from seeing this sado masochistic imagrey.
If laws were broken, then enforce the laws through the courts, and if not, then create a law to make it a crime, but this authoritarian nonsense from the Governors office needs to end. This is how 3rd world dictators operate. Governors are not the judges and the executioners in this country If they don't want them to experience it, then they should not take their kids to such shows, and only a tiny percentage of parents do. Why do you want the government to tell other parents what to do with their kids. You raise your kids, and you let other people raise theirs.
I'm sorry, is slipknot doing reading hour to children? And I did take my son to see the Wiggles, it was fine...normal entertainment for children.
I'm not religious, but diddling kids is incredibly illegal and not encouraged. Stop what-about to explain **** behavior.
Drag is performance art. Musical acts/Concerts are performance art. There are forms that can be family friendly and forms that may not be. To pretend that all forms of a given performance art falls into one category or another is either dishonest or blinded by bias. Maybe both?
I have the same question. My objection to taking children to Catholic Mass has nothing to do with the child sex scandal of the church. They're worried about drag queen shaking their "body parts" at kids. I'm worried about taking kids to a show where 90% of the attention is directed towards a depiction of a man nailed to a cross.
Well I am flashing back a bit to how she was dancing and all that, with the focus of "shaking their sex organs" as was claimed. She might not be still doing that as much anymore. But if that is our standard, then it can't be limited to such venues as cabarets. Any entertainment that has the "shaking of sex organs" needs that law applied to it. Otherwise it's hypocritical.
