Talk about confused. If they were inciting others to harass Republicans, then it would still be incitement, and incitement to harass would be the best-case scenario. They were not simply talking about harassment, and I think an argument can be made that it was much more than harassment that they were inciting. That's debatable but I will ask you this question..... Where are their consequences?

 

Incitement is a funny thing. I think it is a "The devil made me do it" cop out. Individuals are responsible for their individual actions regardless of where they got the ideas. But in order to prove incitement as a crime three things need to happen. A person makes a threat of violence in public address, a second person acts to carry out that violence, AND, that the second peson was influenced by the first person.

It's mostly impossible to prove in court unless you rely on the testimony of a known criminal- the dude that carried it out must confess that he was influenced by the speech of the person on trial.

 

The surest sign that someone supports violence is when they set up a bail fund for people who are arrested for being violent, right Kamala?

 

And in addition to that you had several other prominent Democrats making announcements that were basically giving the rioters their blessings.
