9/11 boy, quit twisting his words around. He was concerned with government agencies, national security, and public knowledge/freedom of the press...not fraternities. He himself was in a Catholic version of the Masons. It's quite sad that today either his words are ignored or misconstrued to snare the minds of the ignorant. <<<Mod Edit: Flamebait Removed>>> And why did he meet with them if he didn't like them?
your living in denialthat post took you guys to school that it was. and you STILL have not answered my question of do you believe the lone nut theory that osalwd killed kennedy? <<<Mod Edit: Flamebait Removed>>>
ha ha,not one poster has been able to counter anything this post said.no surprise there. well guess my question will go unanswered that I asked three times to you two but never got an answer for which was -do you believe the lone nut theory of the governments that oswald killed kennedy.since I never go an answer,I will leave this thread and assume the answer was yes which tells me that at least a couple people here for sure are living in denial.
you quoted yourself, so it's unclear who you're addressing the subject of this thread is jfk's speech, not 'who shot him?' your post was not only countered, it was shown to be inaccurate
From the speech: When he went on to talk about secrecy being repugnant, he was talking about the government being a secret society and not transparent, or cooperating with the media. He was referring to the fear of the people that the government will do their bidding behind closed doors thereby becoming a authoritarian government. He is talking about the infiltrators of the Red Commies who were endeavoring to infiltrate the government and subvert it. You have to remember this is during the Cold War when all out war wasn't declared and Kennedy was asking the media to have the same self discipline it had in the past during past wars.
no, he was talking specifically about the failed bay of pigs invasion "Convinced that the Bay of Pigs failure could be attributed partly to press stories that had alerted Castro to an invasion, Kennedy used an April address to the American Newspaper Publishers Association to urge the country to sacrifice some of its traditional freedoms." source: 'An Unfinished Life: John F. Kennedy, 1917-1963', By Robert Dallek, page 374 [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxA3svmy_xw"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxA3svmy_xw[/ame]
Bump. I specifically want to highlight this one quote from the speech: Which goes along with the lines of the media cooperating with national security interests over selling papers.
it was obviously not smart to have allowed journalists to alert cuba about the planned bay of pigs invasion which was what the speech was about; you have to be an idiot to think jfk was talking about some nwo nonsense
Yeah, I agree. One would also think an editor or writer would have the mind not to print something that could cost American lives. Far too many people though think he was talking about NWO. They see the one paragraph talking about "secrecy being repugnant" and they fall for the illogical trap every time.
