You shouldn't fall for such conspiracy theories and if you want it so much, there is a special section on this forum for this.
Norwegian bloggers are reporting that Breivik is the author of a blog called Fjordman and that hes guest blogged for Atlas Shrugs, Jihad Watch and Gates of Vienna for years. As Breivik, he publicly praised one of her posts. Elise Hendrick has translated a passage from Realisten which confirms that Fjordman and Breivik are one and the same: According to his own statements, Anders Behring Breivik previously operated the blog Fjordman, and later wrote for many years under the pseudonym Fjordman for the anti-Muslim and Zionist blogs Gates of Vienna and Jihad Watch.
she know a lot. she know about law, language and work for many news media. who is to say this is rumour? did your read the article.
http://fjordman.blogspot.com/ ...a member of Jihadwatch (no surprise there). Anti EU...Reading that part of the blog, you see bigoted views in Current Events here every day, but not so well written or serious. The writer is endlessly analysing with one purpose, to find weaknesses in Islam. Why would he take the time to analyse in such depth, other than to construct some action, Volker. Or inspire it. Did that blog achieve a large following? Was it known to you before this tragedy happened? I wonder how many people connected with these views.
There are all kinds of rumours flying about. I suppose it will be months before anyone really knows what went on.
Yes, I read the article. Richard Silverstein admits, that it is speculation and that he has no sources.
I read fjordman's blog sometimes back then. I know the name and the blog. It did not inspire me at all, but it may have inspired the assassin.
Not exactly, someone heard that someone said that someone heard that someone said ... that the killer said, he is fjordman.
Carls -- I had to think about you yesterday and today. You aspire the same right-wing, extremist Christian values as Breivik -- no?
It is a trick http://www.politicalforum.com/current-events/198753-truth-about-recent-oslo-bombing.html
Well, apparently Breivik is not Fjordman. He just liked to quote him (just as some of the islamophobic posters here do). Here's quite an interesting article about the right-wing islamophobic blogosphere and their connections to Breivik. Unfortunately it's only available in German, but maybe a translator-programme can make it half-way understandable for those who are interested. http://www.spiegel.de/netzwelt/netzpolitik/0,1518,776275,00.html
Indiscrimate murder is never justified, but given his views on immigrants and Islam, I wonder how Anders Breivik justified the indiscrimate murder of Norwegians, and teenagers at that, to himself let alone anyone else. He isn't a stupid man, so it's just bizzarre.
This is the serious matter of west ''Rising Racism'' even here in this forum hundreds of people shares the same ideas with Anders Breivik. He was sick actually the ideology he owns is sick. Unfortunately we will see many fake prophets, cheap heros like Anders Breivik at the next. For me there is not big differance between Breivik and people who shares the same ideology with him... What a pitty the inocent teens dead teribbly.
A Turkish girl Gizem Dogan also killed by this sick animal. A goodbye movie uploaded by Gizem's Norwanian friends. http://www.nethaber.com/video/9744/gizemin-anisina.html
An English translation of the article I referred to is now available: http://www.spiegel.de/international/europe/0,1518,776413,00.html
The Norwegian authorities have now said they think Breivik acted alone. I'd never heard of Fjordman before this, but none of the English blogs connected with him or that he quoted ever put forward violence as a solution. One of them answers back here ...
Loads of them answer back and are eager to distance themselves. Their distancing lacks some very necessary self-criticism though. Why do I think a little introspection could be expected? The New York Times has put it quite nicely: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/25/us/25debate.html?pagewanted=all
The blogs highlighted in the article are not ones I follow, but provided they are not fabricating anything, and they have not as far as I know been accused of doing that, they are not responsible for the actions of Breivik. Self-criticism however should never be avoided by any of us, including the New York Times itself and the BBC, both cited by Breivik in his 'manifesto'.
