Almost anyone can see that preventing unplanned pregnancy will also prevent abortions. Those opposing PP have another agenda, that of eliminating access to contraception. http://tucsoncitizen.com/three-sono...nt-hundreds-of-thousands-abortions-each-year/ Planned Parenthood itself estimates it prevents more than 620,000 unintended pregnancies each year, and 220,000 abortions. Its also worth noting that federal law already forbids Planned Parenthood from using the funds it receives from the government for abortions
LMAO!!! Here we go again, with Makedde sounding off about stuff she doesn't know about. Ever watched Real Housewives of Jersey? Do those moms look like they have had kids?.....lmao!!! Come on Houdini, pull the answer out of your magic hat!
I've absolutely nothing against your posts in general - you seem to be one or the more reasonable and sane posters here (not a huge compliment given the competition I know). It was only the one specifically, in the context of the OP, that I responded negatively to. It was effectively my first impression of you too (I've seen posts of yours before but hadn't made the link when I first responded to you here).
They gave you case numbers back on page 1 man. The only thing unsubstantiated is your unbelief in reality.
Jeez...if you want to use the technical terms - an unborn baby is termed 'embryo' up until the 8th week of gestation...after that, the term 'fetus' applies. Secondly, you are wrong about fetal brain development. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/10/magazine/10Fetal-t.html Others have concluded that unborn babies can feel pain/fear as early as 8 weeks gestation, because that is when the limbic ring is functional. http://brainmind.com/BrainLecture4.html
He's absolutely right about fetal brain development. There is no pain felt by the fetus until late in gestation, and that 8 weeks thing you are suggesting is ridiculous. http://eileen.250x.com/Main/fetlpain/kiss.htm The thalamus is the brain's distribution center, connecting the cortex - the thinking, aware part of the brain - and the spinal cord, for both incoming and outgoing connections. In the case of pain sensation, the signal from the pain sensors in the skin is passed along peripheral nerves, to the spinal cord, up to the thalamus and from there to the cortex, which interprets the incoming message as "there's heat here; or that tickles; or there's hurt here" So to be able to experience a sensation as painful, you need a lot of different things in place and functioning to at least a certain degree the skin receptors, the nerves connecting these with the spinal cord,-- the spino-thalamic connections, ---the thalamo-cortical connections, and the cortex itself. Now just like the wires in your house or computer if they arem't properly insulated the message will 'short' or leak off long before it gets to the place where it can be used. In nerves the process of covering the nerves is called myelination and doesn't happen sufficiently until approximately 30 weeks
8 week old embryos don't feel fear. They don't know what fear is. Why doesn't a newborn feel fear? Why doesn't a toddler feel fear when they touch something hot? Shouldn't they know what it is and avoid it?
If it happened, then it was a crime and you wouldn't find any pro choicer who supports the actions of the doctor. Although I am sure you would expect us to, right? After all, we are meant to hate babies.
The case isn't about "babies born alive in toilets at abortion mill, left to die." Where is the evidence that happened?
Read the OP...this information was given in this trial...and this is not the first abortionist found to have this practice, either. http://kermitgosnellcrimes.wikispaces.com/The+Intentional+Killing+of+Viable+Babies But not just the Philly abortionist would have his 'patients' deliver their babies into toliets; it's fairly common in both legal and illegal late abortion practice: http://www.covenantnews.com/newswire/archives/016350.html Or how about this: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMC_70oYV8U"]Baby left in toliet at Abortionist Tiller[/ame]
According to whom? An anonymous poster "juror" writing on the pro-life Jill Stanek's blog. This is your EVIDENCE? This story from Covenant News doesn't even say who forced the sex slaves to take the pills! Are you saying it is common for women to abort live babies into a toilet? And this is your "evidence"? You'll have to do better. This woman, Kelly Dickerson, works for some "pro-life" organization. She said she went into a room with "basically a toilet." She didn't say the baby was born alive.
and killing innocents in a war zone for that matter. But you don't see them as people I guess and deserving of being protected. Just drop the bombs and someone will sweep up later.
I provided the sourced evidence. You have denied it, without providing any backup for your baseless, biased opinion. Denial of the truth does not change it.
What does this have to do with your claim, "Babies Born Alive in Toilets at Abortion Mill, Left to Die"?
Not changing the subject at all. If you want to say you are protecting life protect it. The pro life movement is full of crap if you only pick one particular type to protect. So no life is life. Either you are for it or not.
This is why I have said all along that the rational monikers for people on either side of this debate are "pro abortion", and "anti abortion" These actually describe the actual positions on the actual issue.
Neh, not really. Since no one is really "pro-abortion." Now if you wanted to say "pro abortion rights" and "anti abortion rights', that might be accurate. You could shorten it to "pro rights" and "anti rights." Do you like that?
If you're starting on the assumption that there are only two sides to this issue, you're already making a huge mistake before you even start to try labelling them.
Yeah REally, People who are pro legal abortion should be named "pro abortion". . It is logical and sensible.
