I'm tired of seeing all of this crap that has been flowing openly like wine at a venue about the Presidents birthplace. It's getting old really quick and I would appreciate people to say they hate him or love him and then shut their (*)(*)(*)(*)ed mouths. No one wants to hear this anymore. So now the Obama supporters need to start griping about how he is sufficient as our leader. I'm just freaking saying. http://www.facebook.com/pages/A-Grain-of-Salt/214030865275407
I could not agree more.. Even though I am in the UK i can't help asking the question would any of this even been an issue if he had been white? Ok question his ethics his reforms his views but why his place of birth?
Precisely, Never before have we had that issue. No one has questioned McCain and he was born in Panama! This is a big waste of time that will never end now that I've seen Trumps response. I personally don't want Trump as President because he's an embodiment of everything that's wrong with common courtesy and arrogance in this country. DOWN WITH THE COMB-OVER!!!
It's an issue because there are folks here in the US of A who aren't comfortable, to the point of no return, that our president is of a mixed race. These are the kind of people who MADE it necessary for the Civil Rights act which was signed by LBJ to NEED to be enacted in this land of equal opportunity.
The whole thing about Obama news and top stories is that they are used in mass media and over the internet to distract American's from real issues. Obama knows this himself. The sad thing is that most Americans are more interested in this than trying to take the power from the guys that have the money to pay for those stories. It's a big cover up for the wars going on in the world.
The birther crowd is interesting. Two interesting findings from this poll http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...ea-party-poll-graphic.html?ref=politics#tab=1. 59% of self-identified tea partiers say that Obama was either not born in the United States or don't know. Only 41% say he was. 52% say too much has been made of the problems facing black people (UH-OH!). and 89% of the Tea Party is white. So from this we can probably conclude many of them have some sort of racist feelings underneath their talk of cut government spending, and this I think is why they answer at such a high rate that he may not have been born here.
Its getting annoying but I am sure if Arnold ran for president (even though he cant) the same people (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)ing about obama's "birthplace" would be silent
I have to say that if you elect a President you should be worrying what he is doing to the country not where he was born, which he had no control over.
Some people have this sticky thing called the Constitution they are concerned with..They like it upheld..Now I myself believe he was born here, but there seems to be many things that seem odd about it, most of them spurred by Obama and a unwillingness to have it looked into. I do not think it's right that people try to silence the birthers with all the name calling, but there will always be bullies I guess.
I think it's the Obama campaigns distraction tactic. I think it works real well, too. Maybe they initiated the controversy, maybe they just stumbled into it then ran with it. Some people care more about where he was born than they care about actual issues.
SEEMS TO BE BORN HERE? This has been fact-checked over and over and over. Perhaps McCain missed it too. And all of the Democratic primary challengers. And even Bill O'Reilly!!! All those liberals who believe the first BLACK president was born here....what a sham! The birthers are silenced because they are like flat earthers. They are engaged in conspiracy theory thinking that has no relation to the world in which they live. Perhaps it has nothing to do with Obama's race, maybe the birthers are just downright crazy period . Either way, it is bad for them.
I said some things seem to be odd, I said nothing about seems to be born here. I believe he was born here but only because the Dems would never be that stupid, not because Obama was willing to give any proof to those who think otherwise, much of this was spurred on by Obama himself. I do not know if those that questioned him were concerned with his race, like always it's a charge people like yourself seem to enjoy making, did they Question McCain because he was white? Stop with the race baiting you are doing exactly what you accuse the birthers of doing. No matter how you slice it they disagree like in any discussion, and are due the same respect we give to others we debate. You do not like that, and would rather silence them and just have your own opinion considered. Sorry but you are wrong, they have every right you do of being heard. If like you say they are full of crap then that would be no different than Obama and Gitmo,,,would it? or Obama and the Patriot act, or Obama and Obama care. One side says something is true, the other says it's not. It's why we debate.
McCain was questioned on this....and it's not the same. He was born on a US Military Base in Panama! That's the same thing as being born in the United States. So it's not even close to being the same. My issue with Obama's BC is, why is (or was) he hiding it? Why did he let it all go on for so long before supposedly showing it? Why has he hidden all information about his college days? Why are there NO college transcripts or anything from his colleges that he hasn't had locked up so nobody can see them? What's going on with the Connecticut Social Security #??? He has an excuse for every creep he's ever been friends with that are homegrown terrorists, liars, tax cheats, and his preacher that hates America! If there weren't so many things like this against him, i probably could care less about his birth certificate. And all this has NOTHING to do with race! Some of my best friends are black, they're wonderful people....it wouldn't matter what color Obama is, he would still be a loser!

People questioning an African American's citizenship and saying he was really born in Kenya reeks of racism. I agree that we do need to debate. We should debate about contentious issues that may not have a clear cut answer. We don't debate about whether 1 and 1 is 2. We debate about the size and role of government. But denying reality that is presented over and over again, the way the birthers have done, is not a way to gain the respect of your political opposites.
Ronzell, if the controversy about his birthplace doesn't interest you, ignore it. You can't tell other people they can't write or talk about it. It is a Constitutional issue. That makes it relevant.
It people succumbing to the trickery of "watch my left hand while the right hand does the dirty work". It's trivial and distracts from the issues.
You disagree with them,,,period!! They have one stance you have another, name calling should just not enter into it, yet that's what most of their opposition does. I do not see them doing that to you or others, this business of ''Just because he is Black'' is worn the hell out. Look at the people they have been fighting with the most, look at their other posts, are they racist? NO!! Tell me, does Obama having a 39% approval number have to do with him being black also?, or perhaps just being a sucky President?
Dread, to you that's what it is, and you are welcome to that opinion. Do not surpress theirs, that's all. Now I may disagree with the Gay folk about it being natural,,,I do not say they are trying to ''trick'' us, or call their claim trivial,,I give them respect. No different with this.....People claim there is proof on both sides. Can they prove it's natural? not really,,,can I disprove it? Not really...But I refuse to just dismiss their opinion,,,,especially with name calling... When you think about it, their argument is not much different then that.
You really changed the topic. People who say Obama was not born here are racist most of the time. I don't call people who disagree with me on tax policy racist. I don't call people who disagree with me on the wars racist. There's some people who are racist but that isn't what is driving Obama's approval rating down, it's the economy. But the point still stands for the birthers. I disagree with racists that blacks are not inferior, but according to your logic I should just say we disagree but people who think blacks are inferior are not racist because that would be name calling .
