Sure it does. At conception a new, unique human life is formed, with it's own DNA code...different from both parents. Jeez! Yet ANOTHER biology fact failure from the proabortion group...
Maybe this will help those who deny that a new human life is formed at fertilization: "Although life is a continuous process, fertilization is a critical landmark because, under ordinary circumstances, a new, genetically distinct human organism is thereby formed.... The combination of 23 chromosomes present in each pronucleus results in 46 chromosomes in the zygote. Thus the diploid number is restored and the embryonic genome is formed. The embryo now exists as a genetic unity." [O'Rahilly, Ronan and Müller, Fabiola. Human Embryology & Teratology. 2nd edition. New York: Wiley-Liss, 1996, pp. 8, 29.]
Let me highlight what you missed: A zygote spliting into multiples IS NOT ORDINARY, now is it? Again you fail in reading comprehension.
As long as the possibility for twinning exists, it cannot be determined that the zygote is one unique entity. Do you understand that concept?
As long as the possibility for twinning exists, it cannot be determined that the zygote is one unique entity. Do you understand that concept?
Why do you have problems understanding that in twinning there are TWO unique individuals, that while they are twins, they still have different DNA from their parents. Straining again at gnats, are we Cady?
Yes, in twinning, there are two entities...therefore... as long as the possibility for twinning exists, it cannot be determined that the zygote is one unique entity.
Sure it can be. The zygote IS a unique entity...that on rare occasions duplicates itself. You cannot deny that the zygote, be it a singleton or multiples, has different DNA then its parents.
Cancer has been around for thousands of years and has nothing to do with abortion one way or another. What ridiculous clap-trap.
Yes, the zygote is a unique entity, but why is that of any importance? Next, it duplicates itself not on rare occasions but ALWAYS. The result of that "duplication" is uncertain. Sometimes it remains one entity, sometimes two and yes, regardless how many they do have human DNA. The problem is that you consider that single cell a "human being" and no human being can duplicate itself, moreover it is not know whether it remains one or two human beings. How is it possible to have one or two beings and not be able to establish how many exist?
All scientific "data" can be manipulated and skewed to show anything that anyone wants to believe. Just clap-trap, all these studies.
Right. We should believe your baseless biased opinion over a multitude of published scientific studies...
We went over this in another thread. Even if abortion may increase the risk of breast cancer in women, the stress of having to raise children one is not prepared for can also increase the risk of cancer, as well as a number of other serious diseases. Ergo, your breast cancer argument against abortion is bunk, so please stop repeating it. It's annoying and makes one wonder whether you are more interested in furthering a preconceived agenda than you are in pursuing the truth.
So you have links to several published scientific studies that back you up... or is this another baseless opinion? Hmmmm? I have produced my evidence...and so far, no one can deny the basic biology of the abortion/breast cancer link...
You posted biased links to support your ridiculous theory. Others have posted non biased links to refute you, yet you insist on believing your religious websites, and not the sources that actually KNOW the truth?
I provided you a link in the other thread to the National Cancer Institute. Did you forget? You're not really attempting to contest the connection between stress and cancer, are you? http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=does-stress-feed-cancer http://www.nytimes.com/2005/11/29/health/29canc.html http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/04/110402163423.htm http://www.alternative-cancer-care.com/Cancer_Stress.html If you need any more studies just google "stress and cancer," you'll get pages of them.
And I can provide numerous studies (106) that show the stress of an abortion causes long-term mental, physical, and emotional issue...including breast cancer. http://www.physiciansforlife.org/content/category/5/144/49/
