You should really try to get back to Ayer's Rock. Go at sunset if possible. The play of light and shadows is awe inspiring.
Uh, I don't know how to tell you this, Gwendoline, but those giant anthills are actually giant termite mounds and those amazing ants are really amazing termites. You are right though, they are amazing.
