A year ago, when people were saying "Who is that?" I tried to explain that this man should be our next President. Now he is third amongst republican candidates in the latest Fox Poll. He is spending some of the least money in Presidential candidate history, and is successfully competing with the high rollers. His point is that he can run a successful campaign without a ton of money, and the same with the U.S. Cut the crap, Christian, Black for those who care, and Guided. Cain 2012
He's been my favorite candidate since he entered the race. I think he'd make an awesome president, personally.
Cain is my guy. I don't like Romney or Perry. He rocks in the debates. He looks and sounds very presidential and rises above the frey. We conservitives need to be outspoken in our support for him. Otherwise we'll end up with the canidate that the media picks for us. I feel like Romney and Perry are being forced upon us.
I like Cain but he called Ron Paul a 'grumpy old man' because he wants to end every program rather than fixing it, which irritates me. I don't like that characterization and I wonder just how Cain thinks he will 'fix' the Federal Reserve, since he was once a chairman at the Kansas City Fed. Even though I like what he says, that position he held has always bugged me and keeps me from really supporting him.
My dream ticket; Herman Cain & Ron Paul...to me it doesnt matter who is on top of the ticket I think these 2 would be the closest thing to the best solution for this country
Lets face it Cain won't get the nomination, since Romney has been a shoe-in for that from the git go. But I would love to see Romney either pick Cain or Rubio for the veep spot. I winning combination if I ever saw one.
Cain has played the race card against Perry. This just ended Cain for president. If you want race and religion to be your ticket VOTE AGAINST ROMNEY. If you cant win on politics and votes..use race and religion.
He has a similar strategy to Obama, just without the charisma and the money. Say as little as is humanly possible, without making it obvious you aren't saying anything, and consistently repeat the same right wing cliches and talking points over and over again. However, under no circumstances, say anything of substance or worth. It is a good strategy for convincing uneducated ideologues to vote for you, but since Cain doesn't have Obama's charisma nor can he raise the sort of money Obama raised, he has absolutely no chance.
I am concerned that Cain is now pandering to the mainstream media instead of sticking to his principles. I think winning the Florida straw poll went to his head.
I don't see how you can say Cain is like Obama. Cain actually has a plan and has articulated it many many times. Obama has thusfar failed to come up with any economic plan. I have been watching Cain for a while, in every interview he answers every issue with substance. Unlike Obama who believes shouting like some radical black preacher is substance. Obama is on charismatic to the able-bodied that choose to live off the government dole. Even they are disappointed as all the free stuff they expected never materialized.
I have watched many interviews with him as well. His answers are all right wing talking points, without a hint of complex thought or nuance. As I said, this is convincing to many uneducated ideologues, but it doesn't convince people of intelligence or people who aren't ideologues for that cause. Really, I just re-watched some stuff by Cain to make sure I didn't judge him too harshly on too small a sample, and after watching clips of his for about 20 minutes, I can say with confidence I didn't. He didn't say anything intelligent, nor anything other than platitudes and cliches in any clip I saw of his!! If you like cliche nonsense about the American dream and the miraculous nature of the free market, then he is the man for you. However if you think critically even for a second, there is no substance there.
Well complex socialist thought and nuance got us into the bad situation we are in right now. Maybe it's time for some straight talk. Cain is a breath of fresh air. Let's pick and issue...What about his 9-9-9 plan? Cain is an example of the American dream...You call his life and success 'nonsense?'
Ron Paul would never side with Cain.. Cain is an ex-federal reserve bankster. ..... Mortal political enemies
No thinks Romney:Hell no.Romney doesnt even know who he is.The Lib that ran for Governor of MA,or the Conservative running for President today. No,hes too (*)(*)(*)(*) 2 faced for me. Im not going to let the MSM and pundits choose for me.He better show me more than 999 to climb on the Cain Train
Finally someone who thinks like me. Right now Ron Paul is my favorite(like usual) and Cain is my second choice.
Thank god there are few of you.. Cain will be destroyed in the next debate.. 9.9.9 doesn't work on foreign policy. Comments about Muslims. Using the race card.. Simple plans might sell Pizzas.. or snake oil. See. Obama.
Ron Paul would never run with Cain.. Cain is making promises he will never be able to keep... just like the guy in WH now
He's got a message that resonates with Americans, instead of a PR machine that professional campaigners build. And he's not going around slinging mud at his opponents, either, proof that ugly negative campaigning doesn't have to be the basis of an getting elected these days (a great relief for me).
