I know you have serious issues with comprehension on this issue, so I will just leave you to your errant notions.
Yes, sex education is taught in the Netherlands and contraceptives are provided as part of the country's health services. Both of those factors have been found to reduce the number of abortion in many countries. If pro-lifers truly wanted to reduce abortions in the US, they would pursue those policies, instead of those which only punish women.
How do you explain Mississippi having the country's highest teen pregnancy rate, yet 99% of it's counties have no abortion provider? If abortion availability has caused an increase in teen pregnancy, how do you explain the fact that "In 1982, there were 2,908 providers nationwide. As of 2008, there were only 1,793"? http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/25/opinion/sunday/where-abortion-rights-are-disappearing.html
YES, baby carts with their backpacks on too. this is going on in Austin, Texas. all races of teens get pregnant here but the hispanics teens?...MY GOD it's like their parents condone teen pregnancy I see so many teen hispanic moms.
not having abortion clinics is after the fact. sounds like the problem there is lack of parental involvement with their teens sexual lives. Planned Parenthood promotes teen pregnancy AND abortions. that was my point. theY play both sides. so the pro/con numbers are really invalid to the discussion.
then you've made my point for me. Since sex education is taught in the schools there, young females are aware of the risk factors and can make better choices in the long run. Here in America, Sex Ed. is not "taught" as a official mandatory class, but more like an elective, and in most cases it's just handed out in pamphlets and glazed over by teachers. no real in-depth study of the risk factors, joys and potential kids that come from it. the school system in America is milk toast in that department. so Planned Parenthood stands waiting for them to fall thru the cracks and get pregnant so they can be there ready to assist them in finding an abortion clinic. SICK....SICK.... SICK.
You do know it is pro-life conservatives who oppose sex ed, right? Planned Parenthood provides the only sex education that many young people ever receive. It also provides affordable contraception, STD testing, cancer screening and other services that benefit whole families. It actually does much more to prevent unwanted pregnancies and abortion that any pro-life organization. Abortion is only 3% of the services offered by Planned Parenthood.
No, it's the Liberals. and they are behind Planned Parenthood. they needed a way to take the "Education of Sex" out of the schools so they could be in charge of how the information is administered. And irregardless of the "good" they claim they do, overall their agenda and goal is for more teen pregnancy and abortion referrals. it's how they get paid. Most of PP's clients are TEEN MOMS...
The notion that children in the U.S. are somehow oblivious to the fact that sexual intercourse causes pregnancy is ruduculous. NO PLACE ON EARTH has more in your face sexual crap in the media than the United States. This appears to be a desperate attempt to make excuses for the horrific record the U.S. has with regard to commtting fetal homicides!!!
No, it's the conservatives. They think if teens have information about sex, that will tempt them to engage in it. Planned Parenthood is non-profit. Teen moms? Women who come to Planned Parenthood for prenatal care or contraceptives?
so is Komen Race for the Cure..are you saying these entity's don't bring in millions of dollars simply because they are non-profit? non-profit only means that they can take home any of the money, BUT they still rake it in and use it to forward their agenda, which imo, is 1. teen pregnancy, 2.Abortions 3. and a Repository for Occultic groups. Mostly teen moms, yes. because giving out prenatal care information and condoms is not the crux of their business. Promoting promiscuity and doing Abortion referrals is.
No, I switched to metallic Mylar long time ago, it is lighter and more difficult to detect by the black helicopters. I can see that they mind control rays got to you though...
So, why don't moralists resort to the subjective value of their own morals, instead of insisting everyone else follow the subjective value of their morals, through the coercive use of force of the State?
He's got a point there, Whaler. IF, as you assert, an overwhelming majority supports anti-abortion laws, their following their OWN moral standards should dramatically reduce the rate of abortion. Is it possible that some object to others having abortions while they themselves continue to have them? Do the anti-abortionists HAVE to have a LAW forbidding abortions before they can stop having them?
SO moralists don't resort to the "subjective value of their own morals"? Interesting. First of all I don't think there is such a thing as a "moralist". Secondly , all societies have morality based laws, such as laws against murder, robbery, and sexually based crimes. Without them societies would fail. The better question is why would pro choicers want our homicide laws to be so inconsistent?
