yes i do get the point. i have a home in Poland near Krakow. it is being rented but if you ever there and need a place to bunk maybe we could get you in there. it is located well if you want to see the grim side of WWII history. this is always a possibility. when we move we are also keeping the home in Tel Aviv. many options in life.

did you ever think of finding a career where you can use your education to travel. i knew a guy that had a tour business and took people on historical tours all over the world. he would specialize on one area than another. that could work for you.

travel is awesome. i have been all over and seen so much of the globe. i can tell you that you are in for some great times. i live now in the middle of history. there is so much to see here and be a part of. are there certain places that you would want to go and see?

i bet you are. school gets old. i got very tired of it. i never went far enough. no Masters here. i am not real good in structure and when confined. i have to give you a lot of credit for that. you can tell from my life that i don't stay planted very long.

it is always good to say hi to you. i trust life goes well. i have been lounging around a lot these days. i have been writing and doing some reading. Mia sometimes let's me help out at the cafe on our terrace. she serves breakfasts and coffee for a few hours in the morning. we are looking forward to Mia's upcoming pregnancy and our move to Johannesburg. that is probably where we will stay for a long while.

No worries...at a second glance, my comment did not contribute anything to the thread.

America is very important to the world. It is, like it or not, the leader of the democratic ideal. I used to be pretty left wing and I felt strongly about it. I now feel equally strongly about liberal democracy. So this makes me pretty left wing in a US discussion. But if i start to argue with leftists who are soft on Stalinism, give Chavez a free pass, sympathize with Cuba, excuse terrorism, then I'm different and get a lot of abuse from these guys. I tend to believe that liberal democracy is the last best hope of mankind (who said that?) and that in the absence of any European leadership (stuck in nationalist posturing) American leadership, with all its many flaws, is all we've got.

How does this reputation and points thing work?

Hey frodly. I am not from Liverpool but lived there for years, so it is a special place for me. I am not a conservative but do joust with the Left a lot. I'm ex left, pro Iraq war and support markets in general, but I hate Rumsfeld, Gitmo and Man Utd..

Write to the club well in advance and you should get a ticket. Good luck with your studies.

Hey frodly. I'm new here but...I am a Red. British, living in HK, still the owner of a Kop season ticket which my friends hawk out. Love your atavar mate and look forward to sparring with you in debate.

I am proud to be born in The United States to.

Have you ever heard of "friendly rivalries"?

The United States and France had one for along time until they saw all "The Hippie Tourist Scum" that come into their country and disrespected it.

I don't blame The French for having distaste for The United States.

It is funny how The Liberals idolize Europe Culture.

The French are the same people who gave The United States The Statue of Liberty, and have been very grateful that The United States liberated France from The Nazis who invaded them.

Nothing wrong with loving your country, after all, it is who you are.

Just as long as you respect other people's countries, and they respect your's.

Like coming in and wanting to change everything about the country.

The history classes sound fun, the education classes sound aweful.

Quantitative analysis isn't that bad, mostly linier functions. (Maximize something , but don't break any constraints.)

      Looks like this:

      Max: 2x + 3y

      such that

      x </= 6

      y >/= 4

      Something like that.

Yep, sitting here eating some "chinese food" prepared by the "food" company that our school contracts with. Got a quantitative analysis quiz in about 2 hours.

The essence of any utopianism is: Conjure an ideal that makes an impossible demand on reality, then announce that, until the demand is met in full, your ideal can't be fairly evaluated. Attribute any incidental successes to the halfway meeting of the demand, any failure to the halfway still to go.
