Hey Presluc! Hope your feeling better my friend! Umm, a few posters are complaining about the OT games we have, like word association, etc...Mak has started a thread to the mods regarding the official word about deleting all the game threads, including forum novel and a couple of others. I just want you to know, I'm here for the fun and laughter, and I can tell you right now, if they all get deleted, I'm leaving this forum. Another poster forwarded me another forum to go to, but I just wanted to let you know cause your special to me and I didn't want you to wonder what happened if you didn't see me anymore.....Hugs, Lita

My brother was in Vietnam. He was a marine like my dad. They both did their time. I think my dad reenlisted one that was during WWII. My brother I think was in just the required amount of time. He has a son who has no intentions of heading for Iraq or anywhere else. He has family himself now.
You kept up the family tradition. I can understand why one might do that.

That's a shame when families can't get it together. It really makes a mess for the kids. We all got along but I went off on my own when I was a teenager. I still lived in NY but I was rarely at the house. I saw my dad more often then I saw anyone else. He and I would get together for lunch and dinner sometimes. I saw my mom once a week and my brother about the same amount. I had little in common with them. I was into the lesbian life and though they never had a problem with that it was uncomfortable. Once Alice and I got together it became better as things became more stable in my life. Then Alice and I lived all over the place. We never really stayed in one spot very long except when we were in University.

You should try and see them more often. Do they ever come to see you?

Then it will be good to see them. I don't see my brother all that often. I see my mom a few times a year. Alice's mom lives with us. She really keeps to herself most of the time. I see my brother once a year usually when we get to NY. My mom lives there as well. She was always closer to my brother than me. I was very close to my dad.

I have been kind of off and on. We are getting ready for our anniversary trip to NY. We go there every year to some of the old haunts. This will be our 37th time. We will only be staying about 3 days.

That is exactly right. We are not taught that at home or at school.

It is the keyword. How many rooms can I have a TV in? How many TV's can I fit into one room? How big does my computer have to be? How big a house can I live in? It's stupid. Alice and I could live in a huge house. Why would I want to do that? Do I need ten bathrooms? No. Excess is the solution to every problem.

This is what the American dream has come to. It is get take and have. he who has the most toys wins. This is America. Peopl look at me like I am crazy when I am satidfied with what I have. Nobody here is ever satisfied with what they have.

The middle class has it's spots but the upper classes are certainly running on the greed factor. Greed runs throughout the US. It is almost inborn because of the values that are set in place. The good old fall back American dream. If you can dream it you should have it no matter what.

That is the way the right is built. Don't (*)(*)(*)(*) with the profit margin. That's why I hate this system it breeds greed at the top.
