Michelle's ski trip marks 16 Obama vacations

As I've said before, Obama's home in Chicago is in a residential neighborhood. In order to visit there, they have to close off the neighborhood, set up checkpoints for neighbors to go through and all the other major disruptions of presidential security which would be worse there because of the houses close around that would also have to be secured.

It doesn't matter what's acceptable to Conservatives - it matters that the SS can protect him and his family.

 

That's what I thought when I heard the story on the radio. She takes a family president day vacation, but leaves the president behind? I mean, WTF?

 

Since about a 1/3 of them are the Wife and Child(ren) who really cares. If my memory is correct, GWB took quite a few down to Texas and elsewhere. You must be bored.

The Obamas decry the wealthy from one side of their mouth then spend "our" money like it's water. A vacation, fine. Millions and millions spent yearly to pamper Michelle is an abuse of power. I realize that Michelle is "The Alpha Dog of The White House", but he could grow a set and tell her to stay home.

 

Taxpayers have been paying since 1776, why is it a problem now.

How do you know they are not spending their money.

How do you know she is not spending her millions.

Do you tell your wife to stay at home, besides that is one of the perks of being the POTUS. Funny how the (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)ing about Presidential spending didn't become an issue until a black man went into the WH.

 

What's with you and the race card for everything you write? In a time of great economic problems, Obama would have endeared himself to all of America had he not had so many high profile and expensive vacations. 10 million in 1 year is more than the Obamas have in their accounts...unless they have some offshore. Yes, presidents take vacations, but again, not to this extent or expense. He still has a few months to get his act together, but I doubt he wants to. He's living high too on the hog to change now.

Oh, my wife would never spend that much of someone else money on herself. We always pay our own way.

It does if the taxpayers paid for it and you took a multi million dollar entourage with you and stay in luxury accomodations.......oh, and nobody voted for you either.

 

There is nothing wrong with the First Lady taking her children on multiple vacations a year. It would be better if she was doing "First Lady" stuff in the area where she is vacationing, however, since she was not the one elected, it is not required. And, even though it DOES cost tax payer's some money with the extended Secret Service details and the transportation cost, there has been more money wasted on things that are more frivolous.

However, it does show the disconnect Obama (or at least his wife) has with the average American. Many people in this country are losing their jobs, their housing, their savings and are lucky to have one vacation in the 3 years Obama has been in office. President and Mrs. Obama should really be ashamed of themselves for living life so extravagantly while MANY others in this country are suffering. It even makes them look hypocritical for wanting others to "share the wealth" in some areas, while they are doing things that 99% of us could never dream of doing in the same time frame.

 

Must be nice to go on vacation when everyone else is suffering and can't afford to fill up their gas tanks.

Bush spent 879 days at his ranch in total and 477 days at Camp David. The low life scum spent more than three years away from the White House. So quit your (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)ing.

What a stupid way to look at it. Why don't the Obama's light their bbq with 100 dollar bills of the taxpayer money. After all there has been more money wasted on things that are more frivolous.

...and yet America was thriving. We were NOT $14 trillion in debt, unemployment was not at 10%, there was no mortgage crisis, there was no government bailout of banks, GM and Chrysler..so i dont give a (*)(*)(*)(*) if Bush was on vacation. But for Obummer to openly and cheerfully tells US to make sacrifices, and then jets off AT TAXPAYER expense to yet another vacation is just deplorable.

 

We were losing 750,000 jobs a month the last few months Bush was in office and in January and February immediately after Obama went into the WH. Does that count?

 

Thriving? We were borrowing at least $1 billion a day to keep the country and the wars running and losing 750,000 jobs a month and you call that "thriving"?

All the things you mentioned just happened to erupt as soon as Obama was inaugurated so Bush had absolutely nothing to do with it? IIRC, we were some $10 trillion in debt when Bush left office and we discovered we were on the verge of economic collapse. But none of that happened as a result of any of Bush's policies - just Obama's? Lmfao!

 

A President takes his office with him so that's fine. What does the first lady do? Just spend taxpayer money.
