It always becomes painfully obvious who reads the bible and who doesn't and then who depends greatly on some anti-God, anti-Bible propaganda site. If you hate God and/or the Bible so much seems you'd develop your own opinion by READING IT. Just so you know. God doesn't defend or encourage incest. You'd know this if you'd read it yourself instead of just spouting some atheist website bs.

 

As a teenager, I was very curious about lots of stuff. I read 20-30 books per year. Well, I decided to read the bible when I was around 14. Once I finished, I never went to church again except for a few weddings and what not. Don't act like someone intelligent can be swayed if they read the contradictive ramblings of the various books of the bible.

 

Don't you think that a most perfect being would also have a f***ing sense of humor? Maybe a bit of compassion, empathy, and understanding in there too?

It seems that the OP as well as you deem fit to provide humanistic thought patterns upon what is supposedly an omnipitent being. In all reality, a person has only himself to turn to when deciding what they feel is right or wrong. He does love his creation. But sin has consequences. Unfortunate as that is. And not just homosexuality. That's one sin and it is no worse or better than ANY other sin. Sin is sin.

but i will say this. It seems to be one of the extreme ways in which total and irrevocable disobedience manifests itself. So, people who sin, will not repent and actually enjoy and have no intention of EVER stopping, seem to eventually get to the point where 'they used each other in un-natural ways'. Not without exceptions and i could be wrong on some of this.

 

It's just that there is a lot less political mileage to be made about railing against people who eat shelfish.

 

You're right God did destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, not man. The judgement is in His hands, not yours or any other person for that matter. It is not the role of the state to decide whether homosexuality is right or wrong. If you find it morally incomprehensible, that's your right but you should respect the rights of others to disagree. Jesus didn't depend on the Roman government to enforce God's will, neither should you. Do as He did and spread His message through works.

I believe offhand, though I am correct, that is all Old Testament, before your god gave the people his only son to die for their sins.

So despite there being any evidence some god destroyed some cities, it would appear your god's wrath was tempered a bit.

One would have to take it that to kick on as a species, there would have to have been incest going on there.

God can do anything, so have could have created man in a manner that did not require incest to take place, to perpetuate the species.

We cannot assume that god made lots of others, as well as Adam and Eve, as there is no mention of that in the Bible.

Therefore, incest must have taken place, and god must have known it would.
