“Grandma, I’ve Been Shot” Said Girl Hurt In Gang Related Mass Shooting

I should have put this in current events, so I'll give some opinions.

This is culturally suicidal. Why are Obama and so called Black civil rights leaders LEADING the nation into this mass behavior? Why are they ENCOURAGING it? Why don't they put peace ahead of anger? Dr. King would be devastated by this and I'm ashamed of them and especially Mr. Obama.

This has to stop. Somehow. Some way. It's beyond foolish. It's downright idiotic.

I think young Blacks are their own worst enemy and have themselves to blame for most of their problems. Why glorify a gansta lifestyle and choose to live that way? It's downright stupid.
Why embrace stealing as totally acceptable - even preferable? What happens to a culture that has no interest in morals/ethics?

Race relations have been much worse since Obama got in office and started fueling these fires with his pulling of the race card. If this nation is foolish enough to re-elect him, we're in for another 4 years of this - but more of it. He has fueled divisiveness. I lay this at his feet.

Miami has had this sort of crime for decades... The gangsta culture is not a recent occurence... and nobody is more horrified than the black community... the Black churches etc.

 

We ought to make better use of racketeering laws against these gangs the same way we did to route out the mafia.

President Obama and the Democrats are delighted to speak out when it's something that can cause racial strife but the 100+ murders in Chicago so far this year don't concern them at all. That ongoing tragedy does not make political gain for the leftists.

President Obama doesn't miss a chance to play the race card, The conrgressional black caucus thrives on the race card, Al Sharpton is a professional race card shark. Exactly. There are a LOT of people in this forum who express racist attitudes. Funny thing, is that they THINK they are so clever... no one can see through their BS.

They remind me of the person in a relationship who is uncommitted... but imagines that their mate will 'never' detect their lack of true commitment. At some point (or many), they will be seen for what they are and called out about the same.

I don't recall ever hearing the president encouraging violence in this country.

I don't think anyone here can state with any sort of certainty whether or not Dr. King would be "devastated".

However, it would appear my contention stands. You say the president is encouraging the type of behavior you cite in the OP. There just seems to not be any basis for that.

I am simply stating that the charges in the OP, namely that the president is somehow encouraging "gang related mas shootings" does not seem to be based on anything that I am aware of. I have never heard the president advocate for such things.

What 'reasonable' people are seeing from the Right today (primarily), is a tactic (an old one) where anything negative is thrown out at the President (like a "hail Mary pass), in hopes that such slander will 'stick'.

In essence, it isn't working... but it feels so good to so many (since they enjoy 'hating'), that they keep on doing it.

In my view, the Right and Republicans have a great deal of soul searching and reform to do, before they can argue the issues without resorting to abject ad hominem and attempts at character-assassination.

I'm hoping that the coming Obama/Romney debates will have decent substance coming from both sides.

Correct. And what helps ALL of America in all of this, is that we now know who more of the haters are and also how they operate.

And with the attention directed as many on the Right wished for it to be, we also know readily, that racism is still a significant problem in America.

 

Why should anyone support him? He's a Marxist and a social justice nut - that means "hate whitey. He's a racist. He's a liar. He's a bully.
His policies, explosive spending, and massive regulating is harming America. I don't know how much more plain I can state that.
