This one's a loser for Obama. Geez, 57% said they didn't want the Obama Care Bill and they did it anyway. The voters punished the House Democrats for going against their wishes by bouncing 63 of them from the House and 6 from the Senate back in 2010. I can only hope this hot button immigration issue will resonate with the voters enough to give Republicans 13 seats in the Senate and another 19 in the House. We need these seats to neuter Obama's agenda if he's re-elected. With Mitt the Mackerel as our candidate, we're running the guy, who lost to the guy, who lost to Obama in 2008.

The Supreme Court doesn't run off popular opinion and polls. Their sole purpose is too determine constitutionality of laws being brought before them.

I believe the bill is Constitutional and should be upheld. I think the SCOTUS will do the right thing or at least the majority will.

Sorry chuckles, you'll need to get it by the House to make it law. Considering 68% of Americans support the Arizona Law, you ignorant fat head law won't make it past the committee. Better you should sit down and be quiet before you hurt you party any further for the losses coming in November. Personally, I'd like to see you make a big deal out of it all, with 68% in favor of the Arizona Law, your fussing can go a long way in helping 13 of your colleagues out of their seats. At that point, nothing you have to say will matter for years. Carry on head of bone.

If they don't want states to adopt their own laws concerning illegal immigration, then have the government do their job and protect our borders. We have had more illegals sneak into our country than the whole population of Israel. I know of no other country that has allowed so many illegals to enter their country like we have. It cost the state of Arizona over one billion a year to deal with them.

Border states need some leniency in dealing with immigration issues. The FED likes to argue that immigration is their territory, but they've already failed, and they're not the ones living on the front line dealing with the problem.

In California it closer to $10 Billion a year. Gov Jerry Browndoggle can shove his tax increase he got on the ballot. He'll eat it.

People have been arguing over immigration since the second ship landed at Jamestown. No one has fixed the problem in 390 years and it's silly to think it's going to be resolved now.

I live at ground zero of illegal immigration, Southern California. I can only wish the average folks could see what I've seen.

Take away their ability to get legitimate jobs with phony or stolen social security numbers. The SSA and IRS are all too well aware of multiple people using a single social security number. One lady from California had 81 people in 17 states using hers and this isn't a unique story. With modern computer databases, it wouldn't be hard to pluck out all the duplicate or non issued users excepting the original issuee. Then send notices to their employers the duplicate users payments are coming from that there appears to be an error and they must verify the social security number within 30 days or face massive fines and jail time. Enforcement had a ripple effect back in 2006 when IFCO (wooden palette maker) got caught in a Government sting. A local area electronics maker fired 88 employees that couldn't produce a valid SSN and they weren't under scrutiny by ICE. The jobs were quickly filled with citizens. E-Verify must become manditory, no exceptions and used to verify citizenship for any government benefits. Take away their ability to get legitimate jobs with forged paperwork and they will go home on their own.

This is a simple cost effective way to open up several million existing jobs to citizens out of work. It will also save Billions in Government benefits going to those who circumvented the legal immigration process.

It can be fixed, all that needs to be done is put enough resources there to do it. That is what hasn't been done.
