Romney is a proven socialist. He backs Medicare and social security. He also praised Obama’s National Health Care program for using Health Care Exchanges while reinforcing that all Americans have to be insured one way or another.

Conservatives like to hang the label of Socialism on Obama. In their duplicitous minds there is good Socialism and Bad Socialism. Obama is one of the bad socialists and therefore for political purposes he must be branded as one. Conservatives who brand Obama as a socialist (and not Romney in the same breath) would do well to notice that this is just another form of Obama bashing. But if we stick to Conservative definitions Romney is not only a Socialist but one who was a very poor job creator when she was Governor of Massachusetts. In other words he’s a double threat loser.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...t-in-disguise/2011/08/25/gIQAx5wHfP_blog.html

"In Friday’s Wall Street Journal, Kimberly Strassel criticizes Romney because he “wants Americans to know that he is in the tank for the middle class.” Romney “is following Democrats down the class-warfare rabbit hole,” she writes. “These are mistakes Ronald Reagan would never have made.”
In Forbes, ex-Reagan administration official Peter Ferrara puts the same point more strongly. “Cowed by President Obama’s class warfare rhetoric, Romney promises to eliminate taxes on capital gains, interest, and dividends, only for middle income Americans,” Ferrara writes. “He says he would do that because they were the ones most hurt by the recession, not the wealthy. But effective tax policy does not distribute tax cuts based on who ‘needs’ a tax cut the most. That is Obama neo-socialist class rhetoric.”

Put differently: In elite conservative circles, Romney “is following Democrats down the class-warfare rabbit hole” with an economic plan based on “Obama neo-socialist class rhetoric.” Recall, again, that Romney’s plan extends all the Bush tax cuts and then piles another tax cut that would substantially tilt toward the wealthy on top. The simple fact that he’s attempting to sell it as a measure for the middle class is, in these conservatives’ minds, a betrayal."

I don't care what you call him as a conservative I will not vote for him.

In 2008 the liberal Washington establishment GOP and the Democrats and the liberal media picked McCain for the GOP. Now they are doing the same thing with Romney. When will conservatives stand up and nominate a conservative and pull the GOP back to the right where it belongs?

Romney is an awful POS. I dread his nomination.

And yet he's one tenth as destructive to America as Obama. It's not even close.

    Romney doesn't hate America.

    Well, there's no doubt there.

Conservatives love military socialism. And they buy votes with agricultural socialism.

silly stuff. Obama isn't a socialist. he's an elitist statist that serves his wall street bankers and corporate masters. He wants the people to be held down by imposing socialism (for the people) But, the elite are separate and above 'the people'. Romney is a pure capitalist.

supports social security medicare and national health care depending on which day you talk to him.

He sucks up Wall street Funding like a sponge? Are we on the same thread??

Wall Street donates twice as much to Romney as Obama

"Romney, the former Massachusetts governor and GOP presidential candidate, has raised $7,521,705 from employees and executives of Wall Street firms.

Obama—who has become deeply unpopular among many Wall Street executives during his term in office—has raised just $3,899,122 from the same group."

Rockefeller Republican (often termed "moderate Republican") refers to a faction of the United States Republican Party who held moderate to liberal views similar to those of Nelson Rockefeller. The term largely fell out of use by the end of the twentieth century, and has been replaced by the term "moderate Republican." Modern Rockefeller Republicans are typically center-right, reject far-right policies, and are culturally liberal. Many espouse government and private investments in environmentalism, healthcare and higher education as necessities for the nation's growth, in the tradition of Nelson Rockefeller, Alexander Hamilton and Theodore Roosevelt. In general, Rockefeller Republicans oppose socialism and the redistribution of wealth while supporting some pragmatic regulation of business and federal social programs in matters pertaining to the public good. They represent a diversity of views on foreign policy, but historically most were considered "hawks" against communism and strong supporters of American business abroad. Richard Nixon -- a moderate, establishment Republican within the Party's contemporary ideological framework—founded the Environmental Protection Agency, cooled tensions with China and the Soviet Union, and in 1971 announced he was a Keynesian.[1] Rockefeller Republicans were very common in the New England, West Coast, and the Middle Atlantic States, where there historically existed larger liberal constituencies.[2]

Obama joined a socialist organization and ACORN which has been banned by Congress.

Plus Obama is on record telling us he wants to redistribute the wealth.

To most reasonable people that makes Obama a socialist.

I guess the question is: Will Democrats vote for a successful socialist or the current failing one? Can you make the case for voting for the current failing socialist over an accomplished one?

Romney is as much of a socailist as Obama is a Christian. President Obama's meager record shows an attachment to socialsim and communism througout his life. If he actually gets vetted some day we'll find out more.

Forgive me, but no really, seriously...and it took you this long to figure that one out?

Yes both are socialists, the difference is, Romney is the lessor of the two socialists.

And so was Romney his entire political life in Mass...so please spare us the faux outrage.

Look neither one is a true Constitutionalist. We all get that. The question is, at this point which one will do the most damage to this nation. Obama who will not face another election or public referendum of any kind on his policies if re-elected, and his fellow socialist libs.

or Socialist Romney, who will in four years, and his somewhat conservative Republicans. Yet again it seems it's taken far too long, and frankly too late for some to wake up...
