    I remember "Big Labor" when I was growing up. They were about 35% of the workforce then. Today, they are about 12%, most of them are public sector employees: teachers, firefighters, cops, bureaucrats. There is no more "Big Labor." Until earlier this year they were rethinking their electoral strategies. Where once they got a seat at the table, now they're courted every two years by demogogues who tell them they love them but give them nothing. If the republicans quit trying to put them out of business you wouldn't even hear from them at all.
