Impossible now that S 2165 has been signed into law. That is, unless we get Biblical on Israel...

You're joking, yes? When have markets been free? Markets are MANIPULATED, including by corrupt laws, such as serve petroleum over-consumption and prison industry, so we don't use hemp or any other biomass source, but the US guarantees Israel's oil supply AND subsidizes a lot of oppression, around the world.

The free market is imagined. The players and the games are fixed. Ignore this, and nothing is left, for you, but failure.

I doubt Congress will consider a thread on one forum the Vox Populi.

Especially if they started looking around at some of the REALLY strange posters here!

Right, I agree, markets are not free. So like I said , let Israel attack Iran, Oil prices will skyrocket. At first. The corrupt, non free markets will be corrected soon enough. Even the corrupt will take care of the bottom line.

    (fyi, I voted NO)

I don't consider North Korea to be as big of a threat as Iran.

North Korea has no influence on the world other than its deadly weapons since it is so isolated. Everything in the world would go on as usual if North Korea just suddenly disappeared.

North Korea has no militias or proxy armies to attack targets outside of East Asia unlike Iran, which has Hezbollah and Hamas.

The reason we are so weak when it comes to dealing with North Korea is because of China. If there was a war, China would be pulled in and we really don't want that.

As for your assessment about Iran and their oil, you really need to understand that the whole "we want their oil" (*)(*)(*)(*) is old and wrong. According to you, that's why we went into Iraq, right? So how come we haven't taken their oil? Seriously, get that stupid idea out of your head because it is absolutely wrong.

Neither countries pose a threat to America. Iran posses a small threat to Israel through proxies but Israel is the same. Neither country could effectively destroy the other without horrible consequences.

The oil thing yeah it's true but it comes second to stability(obedience). What good is getting access to oil if it can be yanked out from under you.

Iraq was invaded for several reasons for one they switched their petrodollar from US to the euro. This could weaken the us dollar as the worlds reserve currency and since the us dollar relies on being that currency since it is no longer pegged to gold it's important to show that this behavior won't be tolerated. Unsurprisingly the US switched it back when they took control. Iran uses the Euro... Keep that in mind.

Second countries they don't "take" oil, companies do because they are specialized in it and they do it through trade. You see lobbyist of these companies lobby government officials so their companies receive contracts for the oil or for services of procuring the oil. This creates a long term investment after all they need to set up the equipment and bribe or lobby others in the affected area and slowly over time they pay off their losses and then make a profit. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...n-oil-firms-and-invasion-of-iraq-2269610.html
Iraq was never about making a profit for the American people or the gov. Gov no longer works that way they're self serving first and foremost.

Here's what we do, if Mr.Obamney isn't a mush, but he's a mush, so let's pretend we have an operational US Constitution, with a separation clause, standing army clause, unumeration of powers clause, and USCA 4, 5, and 14, with a US Code, instead of AIPAC and Israel, undermining all due process of law and US integrity:

We immediately stop funding any military aid, to Israel, and we get Ike back out of his grave, since he was the ONLY US PRESIDENT I KNOW, to ever talk to Israel, how Israel needs to hear, from any American.

Oil prices will skyrocket, PERIOD, dude. Then the cost of re-greening will get more prohibitive.

FYI: Any time the CO2 shoots up, partly as fast as it is rising, today, coral records show the Earth suffers a mass extinction event. We are already in the early stages, of Mass Extinction Event 6.

FYFI: We can challenge, for top killer, of all geologic time, if we get any stupider, such as we ignore what is happening, with Fukushima, which is always about to dump on the Northern Hemisphere, or we ignore any of the other 23 GE Mark I reactors, on US soil, or we start up a nuclear war or let one get going.

We are ALREADY going to lose a lot of human and animal habitat. We are probably going to lose ALL desirable ocean species. Maybe you think "non-free markets" will be corrected, before humans suffer a die-off, which is always just about to happen. People who think we get to pack much more than 7 billion humans onto a flaming planet, which should be cooler are really, really CRAZY.

Ice is melting, at both poles and in all glaciers. This should cool average temps. Solar intensity is low, for several decades. Our current sunspot cycle 24 will peak, at 90 sunspots, the least, since a cycle peaked in 1928, at 68 sunspots. We should be headed, toward re-glaciation.

But we are headed to a hot-house planet, with acidified or anoxic oceans. All we need to all die off is one, little meteorite strike, or hey! We could have some sort of stupid tyranny-related, religion-affected, typical nonsense about communism rant and argument, which leads to NUCLEAR WAR.

THEN Mass Extinction Event 6 will for sure wind up, as the leading killer, of all geologic time. Just saying.

You mean the ones who heard of FIRE and CHAINSAWS and INDUSTRIAL GREENHOUSE GASSES and CORRUPTION and its carbon footprint and how the gay bath-houses had to close because they were a public health threat and release of sequestered carbon and suppression of cyclic carbon media, and how all that is not only stupid, but fatally destructive?

See the green guy, who's my avatar? Green, ain't he! What's up, doc?

If you won't read history, you shouldn't call shots, which will end history.

If you didn't notice the other posts, you didn't read how the CIA and MI6 supported the Shah, to keep Iran from nationalizing its oil. If you didn't read other posts or history, you didn't notice how Zionism is the ONLY REASON religious republics got started, in the Middle East, ever! If you aren't going to catch up, with the traffic, you shouldn't try to control the traffic.

Just saying. Of course, if a whole lot of your kind of thinking gets going, the US will fail, as a major power, since we can't produce, and we can't participate, and we can't offer a lot of good people, to any new globalism, which will happen, given the internet. The internet and BRICS mean globalism won't die, no matter how hard the UK, US, and Israel try to kill it.

Put some ice on yourself. You shouldn't be writing that stuff, where ANYBODY in the world can read it.

Israel need regime change, by force, and there are much stronger grounds for it.

NOW it's 38-5, since the NJs got somebody else to chime in.

We lose Israel, or we lose the world, no two ways. Too bad AIPAC and religious NJs and petroleum and war industry own so many politicians.

If policy was up to PF members, who voted in this poll, we'd have a safe and sane fourth.

Iran's leadership has sworn to wipe Israel off the map, and they are developing nuclear weapons.

    The choice for Israel is clear;
destroy the Iranian nuke sites, and now.

No use consulting with the US, since the current President is useless, and is no friend to Israel.

I suspect that the next US President will be much more supportive.

Give it a few days, until the Israeli Megaphone Software tool kicks in..

    ************************

BBC History Magazine was forced to remove an online poll after it was targeted by a project aimed at influencing internet opinion in Israel's favour.

The Give Israel Your United Support (GIYUS) website hosts a downloadable desktop tool called Megaphone. The program alerts users to opinion polls and "talkback" features on news sites so they can respond with pro-Israel views. In turn, users can alert GIYUS operators to any opinion polls they think should be targeted.

    It would be problematic, sure.
But no worse that the disaster that has been the past 3 and a half years under this useless politician of a President, his egregious crimes against our economy, and his disrespecting of our closest allies.

I think that Israel striking Iran hard and swiftly, directly into the nuclear enrichment and weapons-development sites, would be a really good thing. For both Israel, and for the US.

    a. It would keep Israelis safe and alive, for awhile, anyway.

    b. It would show the world that the true military superpowers do not choose to reward bad behavior on the part of slimy potentates.

    c. It would bring me great joy, personally.

    d. It would give the NEXT US President a great opportunity to show some support for Israel. The next President could contribute a few aircraft carriers and a $hit-load of fighter jets to shoot down any Iranian planes that decided it would be a good time to head toward Israel for some good old fashioned aerial jihad.

It's a win-win scenario, in my book anyway.
