Sorry, Johhny. I calls 'em like I sees 'em.

Primarily that the citizen is responsible for the outcome of her own life. NB: I'm not a Republican. I would be were the party not co-opted by religious nutjobs. I could write pages of criticism on the GOP, and in fact I have--but to say they "mostly represent white people" as has the OP is simply untrue.

That's a pretty strong accusation, Johnny. That I take a different position from you doesn't make me a liar. My comments are based on my observations.

Based upon what you are saying, I suspect your vision is relatively obscured.

What's with that kind of thinking?

This is a perfect example of the extreme, vile, ignorant racism that still exists in this country, this poster actually believes the filth in this post.

We have to evolve beyond these very ugly, hate-filled people.

The good news is this type of person is very rapidly becoming the minority in this country, eventually what a white, ignorant racist like this thinks about anything or anybody, wont add up to a hill of beans.

It's the same reason why conservative minorities also vote Democrat. Even many rich ones that would never need welfare do. The fact lies in that Republicans in general at the local and national level just don't try to reach out to minorities. The fact that they are already culturally conservative should have been a huge advantage for the GOP, but even then they screw it up. The GOP needs to really shape up maybe learn a little more about real cultural diversity instead of writing it off as useless and relying on stereotypes. And maybe the average GOP person can cut down on the racial slurs you know, because when people get offended, they might not fight back immediately, but they WILL REMEMBER you.

In your dreams Karl Marx.... Conservative white people still hold all the wealth, power, and levers of control in this country. Even though their absolute numbers have declined in recent years your favorite demographic, the basketball playing, car stealing, taco-infused African and Mexican masses are no longer going to receive all the white taxpayer goodies they did in the second half of the 20th century. The real question is this: when will white people start refusing to subsidize the fertility and sloth of the brown and black masses?

It's all about that "gibs me dat" mentality that is so prevalent among America's brown underclass. They have to have all sorts of free handouts (paid for by whitey) otherwise they riot and burn down their own cities.

The basic point is that most minorities belong to the human race, and the Republicans are its enemies.

As soon as the white-guilt lib voices, like the one you are responding to, are shouted down.

Racism, avarice and greed will be the undoing of those who agree with the notion you promote above. It is only a matter of time.

Please explain what "reaching out" means? Does it mean supporting Affirmative Action, because that's about as racist as a program can get. I shouldn't have to explain why. Does that mean not approving of reckless education spending in the inner cities, where the money has shown NOT to fix anything. More money is spent on educating the less fortunate and yet, the less fortunate are NOT showing any signs of improving. Why is that? Does it mean cranking up minimum wage which would accomplish absolutely NOTHING except devalue everything else above it?

I have heard black conservatives try to explain the basics of responsibly, like Bill Cosby, but that advice goes completely unheard. Why is that? How can ANYONE seriously disagree with anything he says? Because its not PC? Being overly PC is whats causing the biggest problems. Black people aren't being told by DEMOCRATS what the real problems are. The disservice is being done by the Left, not the Right. WHy? Because the Left isn't trying to empower minorities to do better and be better. All they're doing is instilling dependence and blame, reinforcing lies, why they are where they are instead of telling them the truth. But the truth isn't what they want to hear.

So again, if reaching out means telling people what they want to hear, then the Democrats are doing more harm than good, exemplified by every statistic we have...you know the ones people don't WANT TO pay attention to, because it might upset the people you need a vote from. You can't respect someone who lies directly to your face, unless you're naive enough to think that person has your best interest in mind.

You nation wreckers will get it before long. The truth is that walking excuses likes yourself will be in major trouble when the food riots hit. Your gentrified little hippie areas will be invaded by Congoids and Mestizos, shooting, robbing and raping all of your little hippie friends. You will scream "but.... wait dude.... I have stood up for you people my whole life!!! Why are you robbing me and gang raping my girlfriend???"

You march to the drum beat of a movement that will turn this country into a 3rd World cesspool withing a generation.

LOL, coming from an affirmative action fan, this is priceless!

They run a very successful business. What do you and your 150 million have to offer, besides hate and jealousy?

Sure, that's what debate is all about. But calling your opponent a liar is not very productive in my view. I think we have some common ground, so better to focus on what we can agree on in my view--and that is that the state of the African American community is still generally troubling. Though I disagree with President Obama's policies and believe him to be largely unqualified for the job he currently holds, I am proud of our country for electing a black president. Not because I put much stock in race, as I prefer to view my fellow humans on their merits, but because his election signaled a turning point in our history. Would I have preferred a different first black president? Probably. But still I, like many Americans, was genuinely moved by the events of 2008. Jesse Jackson's tears on that cold Chicago day said it all.

In spite of all the progress African Americans have made, if you look at the various metrics of social success, African Americans are generally found at or near the bottom of the scale by most objective measures: be it rates of poverty, incarceration, illegitimacy, illiteracy, mortality, health, and general well-being. And let's face it, young black men are practically an endangered species these days. If we look at it objectively, 70 years of New Deal politics haven't done much to aid the ascendancy of our black neighbors. And if you look at the cities where the plight of African Americans is most acutely on display, you'll note that they are almost all run by an entrenched Democratic regime who seem largely content to maintain the status quo--that is, objectively--large chunks of their constituents almost wholly dependent on them for their very survival. What is happening in Chicago right now is inexcusable. It seems things have not gotten better for blacks in that city, but much much worse. Likewise in my hometown of Detroit; likewise in places like Cleveland, Philadelphia, Boston, Camden, Newark, New Orleans, Houston, Los Angeles, and even right in President Obama's back yard in D.C.. Heck, you'll find Democrats running nearly every big city with major crime problems, and in those cities you'll find African Americans generally feeling the effects more than any other constituents of those cities.

Now I know you're going to disagree on this point, but I place the blame squarely on the shoulders of the welfare state--an insidious institution that has only served one purpose: to keep those it presumes to serve dependent and deferential. It teaches its recipients that they are victims and that their lot in life is not their fault and here's some money now shut up. It teaches them that hard work is not rewarding, and neither is self-improvement. It teaches them that they are entitled to the results of other people's labor. And worst of all, it robs them of their dignity, telling them time and again that they can not make it on their own. Multiply this by millions of people over a couple of generations and the net result is an entire segment of society who are literally incapable of self-sufficiency. We have conditioned the members of the welfare state to expect someone else to take responsibility for them, and that's very sad. It is the soft bigotry of low expectations. And after a time, that becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Answer a question for me if you would be so kind. You're obviously racist, as many people are. How long do you think that it will be before racist entities like the GOP, will decide that YOU are to be treated with the same racism and ignorance you show black people? If they treat black people like they do now, and have little problem doing it, do you think that simply because you're white, you'll always be in the "club" so to speak? You don't think these kinds of people will eventually treat YOU exactly the way they treat blacks??? No one is safe from this kind of exclusionary mindset.

Bottom line, they'll eventually treat YOU, (and me and everyone else they doesn't fit their "profile" of what a "good citizen, good American" is) exactly as they treat the groups of people you obviously share the same disregard for. Just a matter of time. They'll show EXACTLY the same contempt for you that you have for blacks, sooner or later. It's inevitable.

Please show some examples of how the GOP treats blacks "with contempt". Specifically, which pieces of legislation. Thanks.
