No, they went back to be responsible representatives of the American tax payers. Obama is full of (*)(*)(*)(*), it is evident in his follow up to Ryan claiming he has no control.
Clinton is a master at playing to the independents. The worst fear of the GOP is Bill Clinton campaigning hard for Obama in Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Colorado and Wisconson up to election day...If he does, Mitt is in big trouble.
And it's exactly that attitude that is going to scare away independents. Independents want collaboration in government.
Which Bill Clinton are we supposed to believe? The one who gives a speech, or the one who talks when he doesnt know the cameras are rolling?
This was one of the best speeches I've heard in a long time!! Very thorough and extremely inspiring! Great job Bill
A video like that sounds much worse from guy in a party advocating to NEVER work with the other party than it does from a guy advocating that we always work together.
Let's see, all the drones praising Bill Clinton, the guy who: 1. Aided the drug boom in Mena, Arkansas that killed thousands and destroyed many families. 2. Took America to a secret war with Somalia 3. Sullied the office of White House by skeeting his residue on an intern for tabloids to eat up This guy has about as much credibility as a clogged toilet at an Interstate truckstop.
It means that this is how I expect politicians on opposite sides of the aisle to talk to each other. With respect. I don't hate Paul Ryan like you seem to hate Clinton. Clinton did not say he agreed with Ryan's plan. Even Ryan admits in that video that they were putting themselves out there a bit. Clinton and Ryan both agreed in that moment that democrats should put themselves out there too. But they both agreed that democrats will use Ryan's plan as an excuse to do nothing. Which unfortunately is true to an extent.
...insult?...you mean like being called a bigot, racist, woman hater, homophobe, etc, etc, etc?... Kabuki Joe
I admire that you can evaluate the speech without a kneejerk partisan disdain. I appreciate that very much, and thank you for it. I will say, though, that it wasn't just performance art of a high order. It was extremely substantive, and I can't imagine that someone as clear headed as you seem to be would not have to take into consideration some of the details that Bill addressed when choosing your candidate. There were some very (*)(*)(*)(*)ing moments in it that are not refutable. P.S. It's "Rhodes scholar", unless you were trying to make a joke that I missed.
Did he tell that the the Senate Democrats and Harry Reid? 1200+ days without a budget and 15 jobs bills passed by the house while Harry Reid does NOTHING! Please explain how that's working together?
Why are you here if not to contribute to discussion. What did you disagree with and why? It's a really simple game, 4Horsemen. But you don't seem to understand the rules.
Is this how you talk to people in real life? Just bring up nonsense that has nothing to do with what you quoted? Who do you think you're convincing other than those already convinced? Why don't you participate in a conversation. You know...I say something...you respond with something to do with what I said? We can start with simple things like I can say "Hows the weather" and you can try not to say "Why hasn't Obama signed the 15 jobs bills republicans created"
And Obama has been so collaborative in reaching out. LOL! He is not even close to being like Clinton, and most Americans know that, so your spin isn't working. Obama is a failure, and the jobs report coming out Friday, and the debt clock has past the $16 trillion mark with no slowing in sight.
Most Americans see republicans who are shunning and even voting out anyone who dares to publicly work with the president. And then they see Bill Clinton give a speech saying we need to work together and that Obama is trying to work with them but it's not working. So one side is claiming that they are trying to work with the other party but the other party is being uncooperative. And on the other side they are politically shunning anyone who cooperates publicly and trys to work with the other party. Oh gee it's so hard to tell which party is being uncooperative.
I just told you what I disagreed with. Slick Bill Clinton's Pep Rally was just a bunch of babbling rhetoric in my opinion. He has no credibility to speak of so why should anybody hold any of what he says to any kind of standard of respect? What's the over/under that he laid down with Monica vs. Hilary after that long speech?
So is what Obama doing working? Economists can claim all they want, but those same types of bills got our economy growing in the 1980's. But the hard line Democrats simply don't want to pass any bills from the Republicans because they are like the ones in the 1980's that worked.
When McCain chose Sarah Palin as his running mate, I saw it as a pandering, disingenuous bit of "you've got a minority, well...look, we do to" I can't help but see this in the same politicially expedient light... a divisive, class warfare pimping, far left Obama trotting out dear old Clinton to harken back to the days of a more stable, unified and less extreme Democrat Party to try to lasso disappointed, rapidly defecting moderates.... and I don't think I'm the only one.
Republicans have a lot of gall accusing Obama of a lack of cooperation. They put party over country every chance they get.
huh? 2 years of liberal utopia and the PEOPLE said enough was enough and sent Republicans into the house to stop the insanity. The people spoke and who in the F#$% do you think you are to try and blame a party who is doing exactly what the people wanted them to do
