Bill Moyer is a liberal PBS moron. He is so far up Obama's ass you don't know where he stops and Obama starts.

I am certain College Republicans, and the two Libertarian organizations requested different analysts. The decision on who comes, however, is not for the student body as a whole. Our student government is the group which brings individuals focusing on the political sphere to campus. Their choices probably had to do with money and guest availability. Both College Republicans and our two Libertarian groups (one in which I am a member of) will be holding similar events over the next month or so.

Funny! A guy who has been campaigning in the Presidential race for 5 years . . .who spends hundreds of millions in publicity and propaganda, and "most of the country doesn't know who9 Romney is or what he even looks like?"

Okay. . .I guess the Romney propaganda campaign, the GOP convention, and all the money spend have failed then!

Regardless of what happens Wednesday night we can be certain of two things:
The pro-Romney, anti-Obamites will proclaim unconditional Romney victory.
The pro-Obama, anti-Romneyites will proclaim unconditional Obama victory.
And much spinning will be had.

Me? I am going to have popcorn and watch the debates- hopefully they will not be boring.

Lehrer is left of the leg tingler. Nuf sed. At least he hasn't written a book about Obama scheduled for release on inauguration day.

You can watch the first presidential debate of 2008 (on September 26, 2008). Lehrer also moderated that one.
In my opinion, he is very efficient and totally unbiased.

Based on his background history, if he had a bias, it would probably be a Republican bias, since he was born and raised in Kansas, then Texas, and went to the University of Missouri!

It's not exactly as if he had deep roots in a liberal state like California!

So are you good with massive defense spending but not spending on our infrastructure like we did from 1930 to 2000?

Is there a reason why higher taxes on the wealthy and massive infrastructure development created the greatest middle class in history other than the obvious?

You are filled with right wing lies and nothing you believe is true, sorry. I am not saying you are a liar, you may or may not be, but that one comment from you is proof that you have been brainwashed...

Yeah of course, but I knew I would hear what a lefty Lehrer is. In their world David Duke was a moderate so it figures.

Wow, Exo. You're more insecure than MOST liberals. That's surprising, considering how smart I can tell you are.

And you try a lot harder to hide the insecurity than most liberals.

You remind me of Rachel Maddow. Am I close?

    That's funny.

You know, why would anyone click that they "Dislike this post" on a post like this one? Isn't that tantamount to them saying, "I'm defeated"?

I mean, offer a rebuttal. Or type, "I think this post is wrong". But to say, "I don't like this post". ?? Wouldn't it be better to just have a button that says "Click to show you're a liberal", and then we could draw MANY conclusions about the clicker's response to the clicked post, and their response wouldn't make anyone wonder.

Jim Lehrer is a lib, just like Crowley and good old Bob Schieffer. And as far as truth telling, the liberal MSM scores a D-. Don't talk me about the right not accepting the truth when leftist clowns will swallow any BS the media shovels as long as it fits their agenda. Want to talk about the death of our ambassador or the deaths surrounding F&F? Nah, didn't think so.

Why tonight's debate could be so crucial

    http://firstread.nbcnews.com/_news/...-why-tonights-debate-could-be-so-crucial?lite

Tonight’s debate format ~ 90 minutes, divided into six 15-minute sections, no strict time limits, no audience applause.

Begins at 9:00 pm ET… And Romney’s newest TV ad.

After a slew of new NBC/WSJ polls released over the past 12 hours, here’s where the presidential contest stands right before tonight’s first debate ~

President Obama holds a narrow and tightening national lead over Mitt Romney among likely voters, 49%-46%.
It’s also narrow and tight in the battleground states of Florida (where it’s Obama 47%, Romney 46%) and Virginia (Obama 48%, Romney 46%).

But in the battleground of Ohio, the president enjoys a substantial advantage, 51%-43%.
So Romney is both so close and yet so far away.
It’s extremely difficult -- though not impossible -- for Romney to get to 270 electoral votes without Ohio.

It’s also difficult for Romney to win the presidency when he trails Obama by a 48%-35% margin in the national NBC/WSJ poll on which candidate is better prepared to lead to the country for the next four years, as well when the “47%” comment has taken such a toll on him.

And that’s why tonight’s debate could be so crucial to the presidential contest.
It very well could be Romney’s last chance to change the trajectory of the race.

And it gives Obama, whose 49% approval rating is at re-elect level, the opportunity to shut off his opponent’s last path to victory.

The historical evidence is clear; sometimes debates really CAN matter! Given that Obama seems to have a lead of about 1% in the opinion polls, even a shift of a couple of percentage points is huge. Since this is their first debate face-off and since it's basically about the economy plus a few other domestic issues, this is Romney's best chance to score a good boost in his popularity.

One thing Romney has going for him is that he is debate-tested recently; he had to go through several tough debates during the Republican Primaries. By contrast, Obama hasn't really debated for 4 years and even with prep and mock debating Obama may not have the necessary edge or focus. In addition, I don't think Barack respects Mitt and that lack of respect may come off as arrogance or in the form of a mistake.
