what many do n ot realize is that

    Catholics CANNOT vote for Obama

because he is in favor of killing children - (even when they are OUTSIDE The womb: survive abortion)

R may have supported some kind of abortion policy in the past but doesn't now

    abortion is an "intrinsic evil"

no Catholic can vote for someone who supports abortion and promotes it

in fact u r excommunicated for doing so

Yes folks, voting religion is now the way to go. Despite the fact we have this thing called the Establishment clause which says religion doesn't control government.

shows what you know about history or US gov

no establishment means just that: no establishment of a state church

and the Cathlic Church has the authortiy to guide its members in matters of faith and morals.

one look @ the world and we see how needed such guidance is...

without Jesus we ar all a bunch of moral idiots...

Catholics cannot vote for anyone, because both parties support military action, and thus support killing of other human beings. As well as taxes, and various other bull(*)(*)(*)(*) in the bible.

shows what u know about cathlic teaching

the Church teaches that on the subject of war and death pen

it is up to the person's conscience, althoug the
Church says that the state shouldn't put anyone to death if there is a way 2 keep him alive without him having the chance to kil again..

killing innocent humans obviously is not the same as killing adults who can defend themselves..

    abortion is an intrinsic evil

some wars are justifiable (stopping hitler, etc)

I don't think anyone really understands how Catholicism works.

I'm a Catholic, and I do as I darn well please. Then, after I've sinned muchly, I go see my priest for a confession and seek forgiveness, and all is well in my world.

    I love being Catholic.

Does it help you, if I tell there's two parts to the establishment clause? The one you named, is a misinterpetion. It doesn't just mean that you can't ban a religion, it also means the laws you make, must be secular. Or perhaps it would also help if I told you that Religious insutitions who object to it, don't have to pay for contraceptives?

u r right to imply that u do not u/stand catholicism

and you make catholics look bad by saying this kind of thing

    abortion is a MORTAL sin

if u have one and even after confession, u have to still EXPIATE the effects of that sin off your soul b4 u can get to Heaven (assuming u have no other mortal sins...)

i have had it happen that i felt very close to God and things were fine... then i committed a mortal sin (this was yrs ago... i avoid mortal sin like the plague these days) I go to confession and i feel somewhat better but then i have to do a lot of prayers and other things to get the EFFECTS of this sin dealt with

grace is lose through mortal sin, which is why we all should avoid it like the plague... because it is a plague... of the soul

and as to that last sentence

Obama changed that.. or is trying to

he is attempting to FORCE Christians to cover things in their healt care plans that are morally objectionable

i think murder is about as morally objectionable as one can get..

You are totally out of your mind!
    So silly!

The Catholic Church has NO POWER to take way anyone's God given right to free will!

The "power" of the Catholic Church to take anyone's relationship with God away is at best an illusion, at worth an abuse of power that ONLY impacts the most brainwashed among religious zealots!

That's funny because the Catholic bishops support him. They invited him to a dinner just a couple weeks ago. Ordinarily they do not do that for people who've been excommunicated. So why lie, eh?

    this is TOTALLY UNTRUE

most of the bishops are AGAINST him

even the ONE... repeat ONE bishop who invited him only did so as to be able to discuss things w/ him...

    and tht bishop is ALSO

    against him being president..

Oh, I understand Catholicism perfectly well, having been raised a Catholic my whole life.

The core beliefs of Catholicism is to 'love thy neighbour', 'love the sinner, hate the sin' and, most importantly 'not to tell a brother to remove the speck from their eye before first removing the speck from one's own eye (and thereby realising the speck you saw in your brother's eye was actually the speck in your own eye)', otherwise known as 'he who is without sin, may cast the first stone'.

Yes, abortion is bad. But lots of things are bad. Rather than telling people how to live their lives, how about trying to create a society wherein abortion is unnecessary? Education would help, but it seems the majority of 'Christians' I run into would both condemn abortions, sex education and the people who would seek either. Rather than condemning people, why not try helping them?

You are only correct on ONE point: the one highlighted in red, and it applies to EVERY DETAIL of a person's life!

To tell you the truth, I do not care a bit whether or not you respond. I do not usually speak to fanatics, and you seem to be one!
I just went to a site that describe Pope Benedict opinion on abortion and proposes a quiz. I also took that quiz (which is extremely biased, as it doesn't give appropriate choices in answering) and then I had an opportunity to post my own opinion. This is what I wrote:
