then he should stop whining and start doing some research it's 9.2% here in mississippi and many of lowest unemployment states also have low population for example: two of the three lowest unemployment states don't even have a million people north dakota - 683,932 south dakota - 824,082 san jose, ca is bigger than that
Let's breakdown the argument. 1. A higher rate of residents of states that vote for Democrats more often have a higher rate of continued education according to some survey. 2. Other surveys have concluded that higher education returns greater compensation. 3. A huge rhetoric point of the Democrats is that the Republican party's policies disproportionately favor those with higher incomes If these are all true, then those that hold higher educations and vote Democrat are voting against their own interest. If we assume that people do not vote against their own best interest, and that 1 & 2 are true, then 3 must be false. If we assume that people do not vote against their own best interest, and 1 & 3 are true, then 2 must be false. It could be Considering the length of time since taxes were reduced by Reagan, 1 & 2 are only true because 3 is false. Most likely, though 1 & 3 are false, and 2 is true when actual education is considered.
I just find this thread funny! Educated? What means educated? Do it mean indoctrinated? Do it mean that a person has been imparted with wisdom? How about it means: A person sat through a bunch of classes to get a piece of paper and may not have learned jack (*)(*)(*)(*)! An education is what you make of it. I have known plenty of stupid ass Masters and Doctorate holders.
The people in Academia are so corrupt that they sell doctorates and fix tests to pass students to keep scores up to maintain grant money. The same administrators that hid jerry Sandusky's pedophilia at Penn State also cleared Michael Mann of academic fraud in the global warming scam. And yet they are still held in high regard by these slimy liberal sleazeballs. Birds of a feather.
The states with the big cities are red states, the big cities do not contain the most educated people, they contain the leeches on society i.e. obama voters.
Precisely. dujac simply doesn't want to see that, and will spin it into the ground in order to obfuscate the point.
you really don't know what you're talking about here are the three largest cities in the usa new york city is in a blue state los angeles is in a blue state chicago is in a blue state that statement is stupidity on high no, what i want to see is some evidence as opposed to whining
you made my point, the big cities are in blue states, the big cities are majority populated with people with minimal education. People with minimal education voted for obama. the premise of this thread is flawed.
Perhaps it would be preferable if the "research" were done prior to one's posting statistics; and done by the person who intends to post those statistics. That does strike me as a more fair and balanced approach...
More republican myths http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/data...tion-2012-votes-map-unemployment-poverty-rich Sure you just keep saying that.

the research supporting the op was done prior to posting the research i suggested theunbubba do will likely never be done …the top 10 most conservative states are Ohio, Indiana-South Dakota-Oklahoma (tied for 3rd), Utah, Michigan-Mississippi (tied for 5th), Nebraska, Wisconsin-Arkansas-Louisiana-Missouri (tied for 7th), Pennsylvania, Idaho-Texas (tied for 9th), and Georgia. http://thestateofamerica.wordpress.com/2007/12/14/ipas-most-liberal-states-in-america/

Do you live in California? I do. The propositions you speak about are notorious for language that does nothing but obfuscate what is really being voted for. They are also notorious for being injected with clauses that make it impossible for the voters to make informed decisions because a Yes or No vote gives the people drafting them exactly what they want. In 2008, the state voted for redistricting. In 2010, they floated another proposition that required the population to vote on funding the redistricting. It's insane. What California needs now is an amendment to the state constitution that requires 67% approval/disapproval.
Most of the left are over-educated morons. I'll take someone with commonsense over an Ivy League theoretician any day.
Well, look who changed their diaper and finally came back to the message board. We missed you on November 7th. Did your mommy say it was okay to come outside again after your hilarious beat down?
Are you suggesting that "the research" has already been done that would answer another poster's query (as concerning "what the level of engineering and hard sciences is in all of the states to the exclusion of the 'humanities' and social studies types of degrees")? Are you quite certain about that?
Common sense is the basic practical knowledge one holds of the universe. It is allows one to make sound and prudent judgements of what is around you. On the other hand, theory is imperative. It provides an individual with the tools to leverage common sense, forwarding one's knowledge of the universe. However, knowledge is simply one facet the universal processes. One must not only have knowledge, but be able to comprehend, apply, analyze, synthesize, and evaluate such knowledge. All of these elements, of course, are crosscutting, and involve many idiosyncrasies. I am more than willing to go into greater detail about the above statements. To conclude, common sense and theory fall under the most basic form of cognition, knowledge. Possessing both is key to maximizing the ability, capability, and potential of the mental process. Maximizing cognition, henceforth, leads to the maximization of learning, which involves factors not mentioned in the above analysis. With this in mind, I would take neither the person with common sense nor the Ivy League theoretician so long as they did not possess adequate levels of other knowledge, the above abilities and capabilities manifesting from it, and does not display a significant amount of, potential, or capability of acquiring and/or modifying/changing of existing knowledge, behaviors, skills, values, or preferences.
And that's the attitude that proves why those "educated" students will probably make more money then you in their lifetime. Since the average pay for high school and college education are very different. And that kid who got his graduate degree makes more then both of them.
Maybe the OP can print this out and roll it up into a tube and shove it. http://www.gallup.com/poll/158519/romney-obama-gallup-final-election-survey.aspx Romney won the college and some college vote.........you were saying something about smart people voting for Obama. Obama won the post college but there aren't very many of them and they are mostly in education which doesn't deal with the real world most of the time. Something else people seem to forget is that the vast majority of people living in big cities are NOT college educated and depending on the city are in fact undereducated as in the case of Milwaukee which has a less than 50% graduation rate and overwhelmingly voted Obama. By the way Romney also won the suburban vote which has a large percentage of college educated people far more than in cities. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/14/us/politics/ryan-sees-urban-vote-as-reason-gop-lost.html?_r=0 The irony is that the OP was intending to show evidence that Romney supporters are somehow dumber, and all he did was prove what an idiot he was. I suggest the OP go take some GED courses because clearly he has absolutely zero understanding of critical thinking. Like the partisan sheep he is he just posted something he saw without even bothering to think about it. Did the OP even put a single thought into what metrics made up this poll. Can it be broken down and analyzed further. One thing is clear the OP does NOT have a college education at least not in anything related to the sciences or math. That is stuff you learn in the first year is how to analyze stuff and break it down into its components.
