Every gun owner I know, with the exception of my father, practices regularly with their weapons. Liberal and conservative. I give my 71 yo father a pass. He was a three-time USMC pistol champ.

 

Still might be hard to prove if he has even one black customer.

The gun owners I knew (mostly men) and most were in the military - my guy had been in the Marine Corps, so they knew their stuff about firearms and these dudes would brag about the fish they caught, not about their guns......

And IF a Democrat wants to purchase a gun. . .is there a law that they have to reveal to ANYONE whom they voted for? Is there a law that says you have to show whom you voted for before purchasing a gun?

very wrong, first you would have to see if the guns used in death by firearms were legally bought or not. second this just started, so it wouldnt prove anything but this one little store is saying "no obama voters" allowed.

thirdly look at chicago, they have a ban on guns and yet the Obama voter is the one committing the insane majority of gun crimes.

If I lived in Arizona, I'd be outraged that Obama challenged Arizona's illegal immigration laws. Thanks to him, they cannot secure their own borders.

This is commercial speech, not free speech. Second, what he did was being a dumb ass. If I was a gun show organizer, I would definitely have him and his company banned from gun shows. If I was a arms manufacturer I would not sell to him either. In both cases, he showed extreme misjudgement. IN his line of business, misjudgements can get people killed.

 

there is no way Obama could ban all guns or even the assault weapns. He cannot do it through an executive order, nor can a bill like that pass with the current makeup of congrress.

 

What's to say the may not see the $$$, and simply let you keep the guns, but make you pay an annual 'duty' on each one, of whatever amount..?

You bet! You know, like the "No shirt, no shoes, no business" signs - it was the owner's right to call the shots on who his customers were......

 

But that is based on "decency" ordinances in local communities. It is also neutral to the fact that we do not live in a nudist socieity.

However, both the "no shoes, no shirt, no service" as well as the "ban on Obama supporters" is defined as commercial speech. As such, courts have stricter requirements on business on what they can and cannot do.

But again, I say what the gun shop shop owner did was stupid and if a lawsuit is successful, he has no one to blame but himself for being stupid.

Given that left-wingers are an extremely violent bunch of people, anyone with left-wing poltics should not be allowed to own a firearm. Didn't this happen once before - a doctor/dentist put a sign on his waiting room door that said "No Obama voters welcome"? As his established patients arrived, the ones who had voted for Obama left and some new patients decided not to go in? When he noticed the scarcity of patients for a day or two, the sign came down as I recall. I'll have to look for that.
