Trayvon wasn't wandering aimlessly.. He was on a direct path home. How could GZ tell from 50 feet away in the dark, in the rain.. that Trayvon was on drugs but not know he was talking on the cellphone???

The community wasn't "crime ridden".. The thefts were plants on the porch, grills, bicycles, tools from an open garage... petty property theft. But, it does suit George's purpose to have you believe that there was an epidemic of crime.. just as it suits Taaffe's racism to talk about the "low lifes" that had become renters.

Excellent point Glitch. Anyone would have done the same. Some people are trying to wish George guilty because they don't like anyone who defends theirself. Pathetic.

I don't know why we have to keep reminding everyone that you were actually there, filming the whole thing.

Taafe was YOUR OWN SOURCE...what happened? You two have a falling out?

Anyone would not have done the same.... would not have even BEEN THERE. Anyone would have obeyed the dispatcher's instructions and not followed Trayvon. Anyone would have waited for the cops to get there...knowing they were minutes away. But no....big bad George had a gun on his hip and needed to show those cops how to get the job done! He said, they always get away ....well not this time by God! He made (*)(*)(*)(*) sure of that.

Your logic is utterly awry. You were not there that night, but you accept Zimmerman's word that he was defending himself. Who was pursuing who? I can tell you right now, if a strange man had stalked me the way Zimmerman stalked Trayvon, I'd have been terrified and angry too. By the time he ran up on my heels telling ME to stop or demand to know who I was and what I was doing, I would have stepped up my pace considerably, run very likely and by the time he put hands on me to stop me the adrenaline would be off the charts and I know (*)(*)(*)(*) well...I, you and MOST people would have reacted in whatever way to get those hands off me.

If Zimmerman had been sauntering home casually, talking on his cell phone, it's raining.. he stops for shelter while he talks on the phone and a black man begins tracking him, first following him in his vehicle and next.... on foot... shouts to make him stop... and Zimmerman when the black guy gets too (*)(*)(*)(*) close, right up on him....puts hands on him and Zimmerman wheels about and slams the black guy to the ground fighting anyway possible to get the black guy off... YOU and yours would be the first to say... he was just defending himself. lalala...

Its a win/win for you people. Black guy loses no matter what. Listening to you, black boys and men are not allowed to defend themselves, protect their privacy, their FREEDOMS... and if they do, kill them. Freedoms is a word you rightwingers love to throw around, but mean it only for yourselves, everyone else must meet your qualifications.

Trayvon Martin threw some serious punches trying to save HIS life from some weirdo assailant (and that's what George... is) who'd followed up for no apparent reason. O'Malley wants to prosecute the victim, bring up his high school records? Bring it on. I am very sure the prosecution has a long story to tell about George Zimmerman's past, which includes assault on a police officer in the line of duty, among other incidents.

I sincerely hope Zimmerman gets at the very least convicted of manslaughter. No matter what though, like Casey Anthony, he and his wife and family will have to live in the shadows for the rest of their lives. Not because they should fear for their lives, but because America KNOWS what liars they all are, that they are all shameful, despicable people who have played cover for George his whole (*)(*)(*)(*) life and when this is all over...trust me... we will hear about George being involved in another crime of violence. This guy is not squeaky clean. Imo.. he's a cold-blooded psychopath. He sits completely dead pan, no expression, no animation and tells his stories like a puppet... Oh heck no... there's something wrong with that guy.

btw... Zimmerman was not a cop. A cop would have identified themselves as such and told the suspect to stand down. Obstruction of justice would be charged for not doing so and assaulting a law officer an even worse charge. Trayvon was not told by Zimmerman that he was a law enforcement officer... at any time. Zimmerman was and is a sleazebag cop wannabe on a power trip cause he knew he had a gun on his hip and was ITCHING to use it.

But....poor witta George.. Its very telling that rightwingers feel compelled to defend killers of innocent, unarmed black kids whose only crime was to try to save their own life, cause we all know... if you're walking while black, you are guilty and deserve to die... especially if you fight back.

If any renters were lowlifes, it was the Zimmerman household. Both were unemployed at time of shooting..she a student. How was George paying HIS rent, buying his groceries and both of them appear to eat pretty good...so it looks like maybe they were on public assistance...taxpayer funded, of course. I guess rightwingers have no trouble paying George's bill cause after he put up his website on the take... knowing white rightwingers who hate black people were going to pay up big. Oh George has been cashing in big on the murder of Trayvon Martin.

Last I heard they are both still unemployed, but have big bucks from all the donations pouring in by an adoring right hailing George as a hero now for killing an unarmed kid while they struggle to demonize him. It won't work.

Yep... George is home free... easy street. He'll find a ghost writer and his book will hit the best sellers list at Amazon... His attorney, will have his book sales too...cause both are sure to write one... or two. So not only will the right pay all of George's legal fees, but support him and his wife in style too... probably for life. George is pretty good at conning people into feeling sorry for him.

btw... the worst crime in that neighborhood... was the murder of Trayvon.

If it was a cop it never would have happened because the cop would have actually acted like a professional and not like a prick with a stick up his ass.

Yes, it does depend on the entire circumstances of that fateful evening. It must be understood that in following someone, which would be legal, a person cannot present an imminent threat to the person being followed. Simply following another person may cause a "potential threat" but not an "imminent threat" which would constitute "assault" under Florida law.

If Zimmerman would have always maintianed a safe distance, let's say 50-100 yards or more, from Martin so that an imminent threat never existed then it would have been impossible for Martin to have "attacked" Zimmerman. The problem is that Zimmerman didn't maintain a safe distance from Martin so the potential threat to Martin became an imminent threat which establishes "assault" under the Florida law. There doesn't appear to be any evidence that Martin, at any time, attempted to follow Zimmerman but instead based upon an accidental meeting Zimmerman went from being a "potential" threat that is legal to an "imminent" threat which is illegal under Florida law. It is the entire chain of events that night which must be considered by a jury and we know that Zimmerman had multiple opportunities to prevent the altercation from occurring. Martin actually attempted to keep the altercation from ever happening by initially fleeing Zimmerman's pursuit.

I really don't know what a jury would decide as I've noted before but I have served on a jury and know how the deliberations will take place. The entire situation doesn't look good for Zimmerman when the entire chain of events are taken into account. The jury is not going to limit itself to just thinking about the few minutes when the physical altercation and shooting took place but is instead going to look at the entire chain of events to determine if Zimmerman could have prevented the entire situation from occurring and I don't believe there is any doubt that he could have. It was Zimmerman's actions that lead to the physical altercation and not Martin's and the jury will certainly reach that conclusion.

Anyone on a Neighborhood Watch would not have left their vehicle to follow a person as that violates the Neighborhood Watch Guidelines. As a former member of a neighborhood watch we were explicitly told by the police department to not assume anyone was a "criminal" as usually they are not. We were instructed to simply report unknown individuals in the neighborhood, record any information that might help in identifying that individual, and wait for law enforcement to arrive. Never were we to do anything that would even potentially lead to a confrontation or to take any vigilante action. We were also advised against carrying a firearm as a neighborhood watch member although that is not expressly prohibited. It's just not a good idea and a firearm would never be necessary as a member of a neighborhood watch member.

If its a jury of lib Obama voters we know how they will decide because most of them have already rendered their verdict on this board.

But you go ahead and delude yourself that Zimmerman can get a fair trial after Obama himself has already weighed in on the subject.

Taaffe is a racist drunk who lost two sons...

American Gun Deaths to Exceed Traffic Fatalities by 2015

Guns and cars have long been among the leading causes of non-medical deaths in the U.S. By 2015, firearm fatalities will probably exceed traffic fatalities for the first time, based on data compiled by Bloomberg.

While motor-vehicle deaths dropped 22 percent from 2005 to 2010, gun fatalities are rising again after a low point in 2000, according to the Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

(Maybe we need few more make believe cops like George.)

Thank God Trayvon attacked George and gave you a cause to spew your filth for over a year. Not to god fearing huh Kuddy? How long do you think you can talk all this smack before karma hits you in your smug know it all face?

You would like to say that no one would have done the same but you are wrong. George did follow the dispatcher's instructions:

What part of OK do you not understand? You lose but thanks for playing.

That seems to be what she is saying. People like her like to judge everyone....

Deserved? One commited suicide and the other was killed in a car wreck.

Taffe inserted himself into George's drama... giving 100 interviews.. yet they were not friends..

    Do you understand "grifters"?

This statement is an insult to every American that has ever served on a jury or that believes in our criminal justice system. Members of a jury typically take their responsibilities very seriously and make their decision based upon the evidence and testimony presented before them in court.

Yes, there have been historical exceptions to this most notably by racists that would convict a black man simply because they're black and refuse to convict a white man for simply because they're white and committed a crime against a black person. That has happened all too often. Racism would actually favor Zimmerman but hopefully the pre-screening of the jury will exclude those with racial prejudice from being on the jury. We. as Americans, should be able to expect the jury to be comprised of those without any prejudice so that Zimmerman receives a fair trial.

Right... Genius George had two choices.

He could pull the trigger or say.. I am Neighborhood Watch.

Of course when the cops arrived they would have laughed that George was rolling around in wet grass with a black teen who lived at the Retreat.

So are you still saying he never said it.

Thats how most teenagers look that are walking down the street talking on a cellphone. I don't find anything "suspicious" about that. It amazes me how folks are trying to justify his actions when the bottomline is we all know the main reason he found this 17yr old "suspicious", because there is nothing "suspicious" about a teenager walking slowly down the street talking on a cellphone.

Again that is why he found him "suspicious" lets just call it like it is.

Of course, any black man can tell that story of getting the eye when you walking into a department store, jewelry store, etc.

Well the lack of injuries is the problem I think. There is no way a man could be beaten that severely as he claims he was and the 17yr old who is accused to have done it only have one little scratch that wasn't even on his knuckle. Anyone that has ever been in a fist fight knows that when you repeatedly punch someone in the face it is going to cut your knuckles and your knuckles will swell from the bone on bone contact.

Thats true, but I doubt if you will have a jury of folks who have never played football or been in a fight before. Now with that said when you get into deliberations the folks who have had those experiences will educate the ones who have not.
True, so its an uphill battle for both sides.

Orlando Sentinal did a survey that said 72% of people say George Zimmerman can't get a fair trial:

So if you think George can get a fair trial you are in the minority.

It seems there is a possibility of a bombshell coming out about Druggie Trayvon. The defense seems to think it is necessary
to show him accurately unlike the media chose to do. The media portrayed Druggie Trayvon as an innocent honor student who
was just going to the store to buy candy. Turns out Druggie Trayvon was not the 12 year old shown on the news the night he
attacked George.Instead he used illegal drugs, was caught with jewelry and a burglary tool, wasn't going to graduate high
school and was visited by the Miami Dade PD in November of 2011. The obvious PR campaign was no doubt an effort to get a
political arrest. So I can see where the defense needs to tell the truth here since no one else is doing it.

O'Mara says it quite well in this video:"Something is afoot."

Actually he said, "looking at houses" or maybe you can tell us how you look in a house from the sidewalk. So since when is it against the law to walk down the street and look at a house? What is "suspicious" about looking at houses walking down the street when there is nothing but houses around, what is he suppose to look at the ground, is he not allowed to turn his head from side to side. Come on that is asinine thinking.

Now is Zimmerman an expert on who is on drugs.

We don't know what Zimmerman was doing after he got off the phone with the dispatcher and any rational person wouldn't believe he went back to his truck because if that is what he was doing he would have just told the dispatcher to have the police meet him at his truck.

Well then why even have a neighborhood watch if you are not going to follow the rules of the program. How many folks in that neighborhood had been robbed at gunpoint? How many arrest were made of robberies in that neighborhood? How many break-ins have occured in the neighborhood since that robbery? This guy found a 17yr old who he found "suspicious" and tried to play hero cop and as a result this teenager's life was taken. Plain and simple.

The police also believed that Zimmerman was the cause of this murder, they also believe he could have stopped this from happening. Do you also refuse to believe that.

Actually I don't, I won't be on the jury and I am pretty sure they will have plenty of questions of their own.

    - - - Updated - - -

The only difference is Zimmerman wasn't a cop and a cop would have identified himself to Trayvon so he wouldn't have thought a pervert was chasing him in the night.

Maybe you'd care to enlighten us to why that is. LOL
Where there's black smoke there's fire.
Oh BTW the autopsy report states that 'T' DID have bruising to his knuckles.
Maybe he fell into Margot and bruised his knuckles on her video camera. Yeah that's it!

Once agian it's going to come down to whether the prosecution can convince the jury that Zimmerman initiated the actions which ulitmately lead to the confrontation by leaving his vehicle and following Martin. The facts are undeniable that Zimmerman did make the "first move" that lead to the confrontation that ultimately lead to Martin's death because Zimmerman doesn't deny that he left his vehicle to follow Martin.

    http://articles.orlandosentinel.com...412_1_face-murder-charges-today-show-accident

Zimmerman could have avoided the situation ever developing that would have prevented the altercation and death of Martin by simply staying in his vehicle in accordance with Neighborhood Watch guidelines. I'm sure that's what the prosecution will be presenting to the jury. Basically the prosecution will state, "Had Zimmerman done nothing other than notifying the police about an unknown person being in the neighborhood then Martin would be alive today."

It will be hard for the defense to establish that Martin in responding to the intentional actions of Zimmerman establishes grounds for self-defense by Zimmerman. I just can't see a jury being willing to accept that.
