    ....

Is it beginning to feel like school shootings are getting to be “the normal”?...is this the beginning of a new way of life,? thank you NRA...or is it a terrible national disease that has reached the epidemic stage?

I say we blame the gun and anyone who sells or pushes them , and forgive the shooter because if not for the gun , they wouldn't have acted out in a violent rage . People don't kill people , guns kill people .

Somehow I doubt any of those proposed anti-gun rules that the gun grabbers were talking about yesterday would have helped any. However, if we had more armed guards and teachers with guns, it might have cut down on the carnage.

Oh well.. who cares? Black kids get killed all the time in the inner cities EVEN though those same cities have strict firearm controls. How many BLACK school children have died in chicago since Sandy???? But here again, liberals are just trying to use the dead bodies of children to further their own agenda..

Has it ever occurred to you that if the media didn't shove this garbage in our faces 24/7, maybe there wouldn't be so many copycat crimes? How much of this crap have we been subjected to over the last year? The media glorifies it and makes these people household names and then we act surprised when there's more of it. Ridiculous.

Blame it on the media; its the easy way out. The media has no business reporting stuff like this; better to keep it hidden from the public so they will think things like this never happen.

Tell you what, sweetheart: you stick to blaming the NRA, and I'll stick to blaming the actual perpetrators.

Of course it makes a difference- to the liberal media, who doesn't mind poor black kids steadily being killed in record numbers.

No proposed laws is going to eliminate every shooting that occurs. The point is to have less of them. What it now appears is that there seems to be a shooting almost once a week, sometime twice a week. That proveides a very danger perception about our nation and our culture and that perception has been going on for more then 30 years.

the second point is that realistic pun prevention laws need to help police do their job as well as protecting those who can legally buy the guns, can buy them. Gun bans do not work, but universal background checks as well as gun regristration on all gun and ammo sells will. The key is to link the background checks to the various state pharmacology datatbases that are designed to track prescription medicines. It is very easy to uby a gun even if, under the law now, you are not eligible to do so. We know this because not all gun sales are monitored by state or federal goverhment law enforcement agencies as was the case with so many of the past mass murderers. They all have something in common and it is not their politics, but their mental state.

Finally, to get rid of this irrational, illogical fear that the goveernment is going to take your guns away and no one is going to protect you. That is complete BS to the nth degree. UBC and gun/ammo registrations We can further implement gun safety laws by requiring guns to be secured in their home, person, or car through variouis apparatuses.

These common sense proposals need to be be discussed, implemented, and passed into law so that we can better protect ourselves.

    There is also this incident.
    http://news.yahoo.com/child-held-hostage-third-day-alabama-shooting-police-185228470.html
A standoff stretched into a third day on Thursday with an Alabama man accused of fatally shooting a school bus driver and then taking a young boy hostage in an underground bunker equipped with electricity and food.

But Tim Byrd, chief investigator with the Dale County Sheriff's Office, told the Southern Poverty Law Center's Hatewatch that Dykes had "anti-America" views.

    This is becoming routine.

The media have been covering murders longer than you have been born. Let me give you a quick history lesson, Some of the most famous murders i nthe 19th century were covered by the newspaper. The 19th century newspapser was the equivalent of today's television. Everyone who could read got their news from the newspaper. Anyone who could not read got their news from someone who could read the newspaper. And we have not gotten into the nickel and dime books that explored the lives of the Dalton Gang, Billy the Kid, and other great Wild West men and women. Yet we did not have the mass problems then as we do today. So, blaming the media is not the right answer. It is a lazy answer that iginore history of our nation. .

I'm still waiting for idiot liberals to explain how a gun ban or gun control would stop shootings like these.

You won't get all the guns of the street, it is impossible. Criminals don't give a (*)(*)(*)(*) about the law, and will obtain a gun by any means. Why are criminals and the government the only ones allowed to have a monopoly on force?

Areas with high control in the US have higher rates of gun violence anyway. It's common sense, really. If you're a criminal, you want to attack an area where you can do the most damage without worrying about anyone taking you out. So they go to areas where everyone is unarmed.

Why do you want to discuss mass shooting when they are relatively rare.... On the other hand, 100X more school children die in inner city shootings where guns are BANNED than those that die in mass shootings...

Could it be because you have an agenda.... or do you just care more about white kids?????
