Clinton and the Norks held bilateral talks in which the US got rolled and outsmarted. That's why Bush came up with the Six Party talks because he didn't want this to just be a US problem. So Six Party talks were held in Beijing. The US got rolled again.

That's why Obombo hasn't returned to the Six Party talks. NK said it wanted new bilateral talks so they can continue to roll the US. Obombo tried to ignore NK so he wouldn't get rolled again. Obombo has resisted new bilateral talks.

But Obombo has realized he can't just ignore the Norks. He had to choose appeasement or aggression. He has chosen appeasement. The proof is in Secty Kerry's announcement that Obombo was willing to start new bilateral talks that will lead to the US getting rolled again. Haha.

What worse is that Kerry also announced the US was willing to give more aid to the Norks even though the US is broke. Hahaha. I'm loving this. But then again I've turned on the US so maybe my mirth isn't a good sign for Uncle Sam.

Hi all! Being new on the forum I thought I'd throw my 'two cents' in on this subject. I think tjhe north Korean huff n puff has more to do with America's national debt than the postering of an untested young leader. China wants America out of Asia both economically and militarily. It isn't concerned about Korean nuclear weapons, Biejing could drop kick North Korea anytime it chose simply by parking a few divisions of its infantry at the border, what ever North Korea has is not equal to the shear number of soldiers China can pour across that border whenever it chooses.

China is using North Korea to instigate a "means to an end" for America to draw down its forces in Asia. Economically America can no longer afford to maintain the forces it has in the region, and as China is one of the largest holders of American debt, and the debtor is always subservient to the lender, and considering the timing of the events with the ongoing budget issues, its likely Mr Kerry was "invited" to China to discuss how "negotiations" for reducing America's military presence in the region and thus reducing the "threat" felt by North Korea will take place.

I say this because Kerry has already fielded the idea that as a "jesture" of its willingness to "negotiate", America would consider a reduction of forces in the region. Its also based on the willingness of the American people and American gov't to sacrifice security as opposed to curtailing spending and accruing greater and greater debt.

Watch events to see if this line of thinking bears fruit or no.

If a war break out between NK and US, China will be neutrul this time, China has already tried all different diplomacy to bring this NK young leader to the right road, but don't work. This young leader doesn't listen to anybody.

Like I said, there is not going to be any regime change in North Korea. At the end of the day, China understands exactly what's going on.

I'm glad to hear that China is stepping in to end a potential disaster, but I hope it doesn't pin Kim Jung Un into a corner and causes to him to do something extremely desperate.

Have you ever negotiated with someone for whom you have zero respect and only contempt? There is no downside in just going through the motions and flat out lying to the SOB. That may be what China is doing to Uncle Sam in this case.

appologies for the late response, my schedual is quite busy this time of year. War? There's not going to be any war between North Korea and the U.S. If, and thats a really huge "IF" there is it will be conventional. NK and China aren't stupid. They know our finamncial string is short, not to mention our equipment situation, then there's the question of 'will'. The American people won't muster tio defend nor support their own Constitution from threats to it from within their own country, much less endure another war against aggression against it from outside the country.

This is a challenge from China to the U.S. to determine whether we will capitulate on Korea, Japan, and Asia; which of course we DID; Kerry offered up not only the reduction of forces but American infrastructure For Chinese investment. Selling off America piece by piece... Even some folks on this thread view the Chinese as our "friends".
