If she indeed did buy the dress with his salary, then buying a cheaper dress would have still saved the taxpayers zero dollars.

Slightly different, in that her clothes bill was paid for by GOP funds and as I remember a number of contributors weren't happy.

The Obama's have a combined income of 300,000USD +, making this not that expensive. Plus, the GOPers on this board when discussing the Bush tax breaks for 150,000 said "150,000 pa does not make someone rich". But it seems now that they've changed their opinion... that somehow 300,000 pa is somehow an obscene amount of money.
