Anyone who would say this was not meant to show racism needs to re-examine that conclusion. Its obvious what his message is. If he really just wants a White History Month why the need for that racist flag and then the watermelons? Also I'm going to go out on a limb and say he is not a Democrat.

What should be done about it? Vote only for democrats? Tar and feather them? Burn a statue of Paula Deen on their property? What?

I agree terrible. However, just as he is ''grouping'' people you may be doing the same by saying ...

''Also I'm going to go out on a limb and say he is not a Democrat.''

It shouldn't be allowed at an event like this. Black people didn't come there to be insulted like that. He should have been stopped from entering. If he would have had a Swastika flag would he have been allowed to continue? I still would bet he votes Tea Party candidate. I cant prove it but I have a strong hunch.

Exactly what happened, call them on it. Let people know that this is wrong. The proper response for offensive speech is more speech.

I agree with you. I just think the organizers could have stopped this before the damage was done. He ruined peoples day with this. Why was it allowed? You cant tell me that someone doesn't look out for things like this at parades. As I said before ,does anyone believe that if it was a Swastika instead of that flag that he would not have been stopped from being in the parade?

Something tells me this guy probably thinks Zimmerman is innocent because of Martin's skin color. And something tells me he thinks Obama is a bad president because of Obama's skin color. Conservatives and racism, hand in hand yet again, unfortunately.

I think the interviewed people were pretty much right. "It's very offensive in a lot of ways, to promote that it's only a white history month."

basically the same frame of though should be applied.to every race-based month. black history month, etc.

Oh, and it's not a racist flag. That's just ignorant to say.

What in the world are you people whining about? You got a patriotic farmer displaying the American flag on his wagon where he is selling watermelons and has a sign celebrating WHITE HISTORY MONTH. What's wrong with celebrating our WHITE HISTORY month of the Independence for America. You do know that is was an all-WHITE people they gave us that independence...don't you? So too bad you take offense at us celebrating our WHITE history month.

Talk about your double standards. You don't see WHITE Americans making much of a stink about blacks celebrating Black History month....now do you?

It's hilarious watching old white conservative men lose their country to liberals, Mexicans, and blacks. They couldn't even keep their nation going for 50 years before losing ground. And now they resort to racist displays on tractors and applauding Zimmerman for killing an unarmed black teen.

It isn't going to change anything - America as they knew it is OVER. The future belongs to socially liberal and secular minded people. Like it or not, but this is what America is going to look like .....

That should in no way be tolerated.

Racism causes FAR MORE TROUBLE THAN IT'S WORTH.

Politically, many on the Right will begin to reap the whirlwind that is coming. At that point I'll say, "Not a moment too soon."

    thank you

but really, the flag thing - the stars and bars is primarily a regional symbol. It's associated with racism today mainly because it was used in the South by radicals and opponents of civil rights, but those same opponents flew Old Glory more prominently. Old Glory has historically been displayed more prominently than the Stars and Bars at racist rallies in the South and, outside of the South, not displayed at all.

Yep. And the greatest problem for such symbols and those related, is that RACISTS have employed the same for sinister and evil purposes. The meaning is imbedded in the shapes and colors themselves. (Think in terms of commercial logos on products; just as some can literally cause a person to salivate or get hungry... so it is with those symbols which have been inextricably associated with bigotry, hatred, injustice and death.)

There is NO ESCAPING this nation's history or legacy effects of the same. Those who wish to see themselves 'marginalized', will likely accomplish the same, in due time. They will be pushed aside and assigned new meaning for MOST (that is, decent) Americans.

The same perpetually outraged progressive victim pimps and race hustlers will label you an "intolerant bigot"
for criticizing the appearance of a penis shaped float manned by a half dozen guys wearing leather thongs and waving rainbow flags.

    so we're clear.

Dude I spent ten years in Alabama all the hardcore racist asshats I knew voted Democrat if they voted at all. Racist tend to be populist buttheads not conservatives. After all, the Klan is just another set of social engineers with even more distasteful ideas about how society ought to be arranged than most.

Neither bother me....what bothers me is the duplicity surrounding what the histrionic left deems "acceptable" and "unacceptable" speech....and the left's inability or refusal to acknowledge such duplicity.... that's so prevalent in their Cultural Marxist dogma.

The guys in the sensual costumes are about hatred, racism, fear, bigotry, murder and injustice? That's what they generally represent or stand for?

On the other hand, those attributes/values I listed above are INDELLIBLY written onto the symbols and words associated with that farmer's "float". I don't see why that should be tolerated one iota.
