Anybody else think George Zimmerman might want to rethink that whole registered Democrat thing now? Considering how viciously his own people turned on him for racist reasons and how the Republicans recognized he was being railroaded and came to his defense? Something like this really shows you who the real good guys are.

 

Explain this to me please- Martin was walking home form a convenience store doing nothing wrong. We know this already. Zimmerman decided he looked suspicious and provoked an altercation. We know this too.

So why is it OK to provoke someone to the point of a fight and then kill them? It would be reasonable if Zimmerman had said, "Hey, I'm a neighborhood watch guy, what are you doing here?" But that's not what happened, is it?

I can tell you right now what I would have done in Martin's shoes. If a stranger was chasing me with a gun for no reason, I'd do everything I could to disarm him and make sure he would not come after me again, including possibly killing him. That's called self-preservation.

But of course, the one person we could ask about his version of the events is dead. We will never know both sides of the story.

It was not planned hunting. He was observing a suspcious character and that character turned and attacked him and zimmerman responded how any rational human being would in that circumstance. Defend himself.

 

32. I guess the LA riots were worse, but it didn't feel like it here. I live and have lived in predominately black communities, not all my life, but now and in the past. I wasnt during the King trial, so maybe it has to do with location and exposure. Race relations are certainly at their lowest, or tied for lowest in my lifetime.

If your half of the country acts like the 1-3% white nationalists then we are screwed. What has happened to logic, rationality and reason? I didn't watch much news coverage before the trial, but I heard enough to know that Zimmerman was supposed to be this vile racist who stalked down and hunted Trayvon wanting to kill him. The real story was very different. No evidence of any prejudice whatsoever against Martin. None. None. None. But for some reason the nation is getting all wound up? We have people on TV thinking "it is unsafe to be in America for a black man, because white people can just shoot us down in the streets still". Really? Is this what it has to come too? Ridiculous exaggeration? If anything go protest self defense laws, but this is not the race bait your handlers told you it was.

The media doesn't report black on white crime because the media is under orders to portray blacks in the most positive light possible. Black could be out in the street chopping peoples heads off and looting stores while the television is showing them in the most unrealistically positive fashion possible.
