To the Rich Republicans, who are tired of supporting all the Lazy Democrats out there:

I'll start by saying that I am not rich.

You know what living expenses are in the middle of nowhere, where you probably live. Now look up living expenses in the blue counties of the country.

Be warned though, you're in for a big surprise.

Problem you have with your argument and that of the Democrats is there is a myth about 'the wealthy'.
In most Western societies 'the wealthy' make up such a tiny percentage of the population that increased taxes on them don't really add up to much to make a dent in most Government finances.

For example in France they have just introduced a 75% tax on the wealthy and it was widely acknowledged by the press to be a purely political move by the socialist government, which would do little to help the balance sheet of the country. In fact many have argued that it's a red flag for foreign investment.

"Households with net worths of $1 million or more may be identified as members of the upper-most socio-economic demographic, depending on the class model used. While most contemporary sociologists estimate that only 1% of households are members of the upper class, " read more...

So in reality when you're voting for more tax you're actually taking money out of the middle classes because that's really where most of it lies.

When you hear Mitt Romney talking about 'the 47%' (which presumably your part of?) then he's got another 52%(probably middle class) and then your 1% of millionaires.
